We will be first time cruiser on the Dream in Oct 2011, but I am having some problems with understanding what room I want to book. We have decided on a Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah, but there are still so many choices, and the prices are different.

On the Disney Dream, as far as I understand, there are 7 different categories (5A - 5E, 6A and 6B). On the Wonder and Magic, there are both categories 5 & 6.

I see there are price differences with these different categories. If they are all the same type of room, why are their prices different and why are they in different categories? Is it all based on location on a deck and which deck the room is on?

Also, which ones have the solid wall verandah wall, and which ones have the clear plexiglass wall?

Thanks! :)

As with any "real estate" price is dictated by location, location, location!!! Which on a ship does not make that much difference IMO!

Thanks for the info. Again, being a cruise n00b, it doesn't seem like the location makes that much a difference to me, either. We'll probably go with one of the Cat 5's, though, for the see-through veranda wall. :thumbsup2
