What's the deal with EMH???

We were there in June, and the EMH parks were really crowded. MK had lines of at least 45 minutes for everything, and Epcot was longer. We just gave up on Epcot and went home. I wonder if it will be better when school starts, and the parks are less crowded.

I am also wondering if the lines for EMH will be better in mid-september. :confused3 We will probably try the EMH at one park, and then change our plans if it is too crowded :cool1:

I'll bet that EMH will be much better starting in September unless the parks are busier this year due to free dining. Regardless, I would give it a try. At least one park will be open later even if you can't ride the "major" attractions.

I wouldn't mind seeing E-nights come back too. But really, for my family, it isn't a big factor. My DW and DD7.5 just don't get up early enough for morning EMH. And I doubt given that we are next going 8/15-8/20 that there will be enough energy for an evening EMH.

The only EMH-related planning we did was to note that the Monday of our arrival that evening EMH for MK was removed. We were always planning on MK our first day, but the park will be open until 10pm anyways. We'll be "home" well before that. Tuesday we're doing Epcot when there is evening EMH at AK. Wednesday we're doing MGM since we have the Fantasmic package that night. We might even do a morning swim and head over to MGM closer to mid-day since we'll be there until the end of Fantasmic. Thursday we do MK again by choice since we moved AK to our Friday so that former neighbors of ours from MA (and one of my DD7.5's best friends) who now live in Stuart, FL can take their DD out of school for a day and come be with us at AK (their choice, which we were fine with).

Knowing that later arrival in the morning means less can be done has already been communicated to my DD7.5 ahead of time. We subsequently put together a list of 5-7 "can't miss" things at each park. We should be able to do that at each park. My only concern was Soarin and TT at Epcot, but if we get late day/evening FPs, we'll head out and come back later.

On a related EMH note, a friend of mine who is there now said that there were tons of people at rope drop the other day who were pissed off big time since they didn't know that EMH hours have been changed up. Oh well. Too bad for them.

We did an evening EMH in June. I didn't think it was that bad other than "the most people I've ever seen in one place" after Wishes. OMG, we were trying to go to Frontierland from in front of CP. It was total gridlock!! We finally made it thru and watched the 2nd showing of Spectro in Liberty Square. Not all that crowded. After that we did all of Fantasyland, it was honestly not that bad. We ended up staying to the bitter end, which was 2:00 AM!!!!! Waiting for the bus back to POR was the worst though, verrrryyyy slowwww! :sad2: We were some tired pups the next day!!!

See, that's exactly why we won't "do" EMH......We would be wiped out for the rest of our vacation......But, of course, everyone is different.
