There is Cinema and an auditorium. Both are remnants of the DI and were used for limited viewings, readings and programs. While no official announcement has been made regarding futute use of either of these facilities, I understand they may be used for special programs at SSR (probably not for general movie releases).

When DI was functioning, the auditorium was used for programs like James Earl Jones offering of a poetry reading. The Cinema was used for some Disney films, but also for lecture series presentations. For Valentines Day one year, we saw a program called "Mickey loves Minnie". It was narrated by a Disney animator and discussed the history of Mickey/Minnie in films- augmented by a showing of many early cartoons featuring the duo. A great program.

Either structure could be used for similar presentations and also for DVC events (like the summer member events).

Stay Tuned!
