We are looking at booking again for next year. We already have accomodation, staying in the same villa. We were just seeing if its worth shopping around for flights, car hire and attraction tickets instead of booking it all though Virgin.

Any links or ideas would be great thankyou :cheer2:

We got Virgin flights and minivan hire for 2 adults and 3 kids for £1800 in Feb '05. The villa cost us £500 for 2 weeks so the total was £2300 to be there and get around.

Did you book that through Virgin themsleves? We stay in the same villa every year so we get a discount from the owner :) We go with my Mil and Fil too so the cost of the villa is again shared. for 3 weeks it cost us £700 for and £700 for them. So the accomodation works out very cheap.

We are FF's with virgin so we get the 10% off each booking. But just wandered if we could get it all cheaper for next years as were hoping to book a week in Greece later in the year :)

Cheapest ive done it for was - Virgin Flights £299pp so thats £600 for the flights and we shared a villa which worked out £400 so £1000 for 2 weeks.

The flights and car, yes. The villa was one we'd stayed at before and got 2 weeks for the price of one.

Shell, have you considered booking flights with miles plus money through Virgin Atlantic? We have done that for our Feb trip and 4 adult return flights cost just over £1100 :)

Cheapest I did it for was £299 adults and £199 children through Virgin - reason was we booked as soon as the flights were released but travelled in December (early!) one of the most reasonable times to go, price wise.

Ways of reducing the prices include flying midweek, flying indirect and avoiding school holidays ;)

As Joh mentions above Miles plus Money can work out really well; we got flights for 2 adults and 2 children for August for £2200. This sounds very pricey I know but was £800 cheaper than booking the normal way!

Cheapest flight £99 virgin each for 4 of us and we got a refund as seats dident recline.was from teletx in 98

I have just booked flights, tickets, car, accomodation independently for August 15th this year and have shaved 500 pounds off virgin's price!!!

Do you know how many days in advance flights are released for Virgin? Trying to find out as I want to book our flights before anything else (dates are flexible so I need to hold off on booking accomodation)

It's 11 months before the date of return journey for the flights (though you can buy fly drives with VH even earlier than that) :)

We are a family of five going to Orlando next May 26th and booked via Funway Holidays (flights with Virgin) saved over £600.00 compared with going via VH and using our 10% discount. Lots of compaines use Vigin flights its just a case of shopping around. Companies that I know that use Virgin are:-
Jetsave
Funway
Jetlife

There is probably others but these are the ones that I use for comparison whenever I am booking.

Have fun hunting. :cool1:

We go next Thurs and is about the cheapest we have ever done it, This is for 3 1/2 weeks(25 nights) for 3 adults. could have got a cheaper car but drive BMW at home so find it hard to go any smaller.

3 flights £957 BMI via chicago
Hotel LBV £625
Full size car top ins. £510
Total £2,092

£697/ person

We find In school term Virgin package holidays can be the cheapest option but in school hols independant travel is usually cheaper for us.

We booked in March to go in January 2007 with Thomas Cook Signature.

Flights with Virgin and a hotel for 2 weeks - GBP959.00 for both of us!!!!

Have fun !!

Cheapest we have done it is £109 each for a fly drive and $70 per night for the Al Stars Sport AP rate , this was booked 24 hours before we went in Oct 2002
as we had AP's we did not have to worry about tickets :cool1:
