Hi rinol, welcome to the DIS! :welcome:

Are your dates flexible or are you looking at a specific week ie. half-term??

Hi rinol and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, DLP posting rules are here, DIS posting guidelines can be found here and details regarding help on signatures here

We have always found making our own travel arrangements and booking accomodation with Disney direct to be the cheapest option. Have a look at expedia also :)

Here's a sample if you were to tailor make your holiday.

Eurostar:

2 adults, 2 children = £206

Outbound: October 17th dep: 0709 arr: 1159

Inbound: October 19th dep: 1926 arr: 2156

Both change in Lille but it's very simple to do, even with kids and luggage.

www.eurostar.com

Hotel:

2 nights Holiday Inn: £180 family room (1 double bed, 1 bunk bed) www.ichotelsgroup.com

2 nights Kyriad: £110 (1 double bed, 2 single beds) www.kyriad.com

Explorers: £166 Crew room (4 people) www.explorershotels.com

Dreamcastle: £238 (includes breakfast) www.dreamcastle-hotel.com

Disney's Hotel Cheyenne: £334 (including breakfast & PARK TICKETS! & an extra 2 hours a day in the park (extra magic hours) You can also add an extra night for another £65 www.disneylandparis.com

Tickets:

If you choose to stay at a non Disney hotel you have 2 options for tickets:

3 day hopper: 2 adults & 2 children = £324 www.disneylandparis.com

or

Fantasy Annual Passes: 2 adults & 2 Children = £350, these give you access to the park 335 days a year plus 10% off in the shops & restaurants!!!

Totals:

Exploreres: £722
Dreamcastle: £794
Holiday Inn: £736
Kyriad: £666
Disney's Hotel Cheyenne: £530

As you can see, it is cheapest to stay in the Cheyenne. Although it's not the most luxurious hotel it is far more exciting than the others. Also, because it's a Disney hotel you can have your park purchases sent directly to the room (so you don't have to carry them around the park!)

Obvoiusly these are just sample dates, you may want to stay longer or at the weekend.

If you want to save more money it often works out cheaper if you take the eurostar to Paris and then switch to the local train (RER). I would recommend it with two young children and luggage though as it involves a connection (Paris Nord - Chatelet les Halles - Disney).

Hope some of that helps!

very impressive investigative technique happy tappy!!

i heart the hotel cheyenne! brilliant for little cowboys (and big ones...!)

Good work Happy Tappy:thumbsup2

We have always found making our own travel arrangements and booking accomodation with Disney direct to be the cheapest option.

I have also always found that this is cheaper. For our trip in Dec we have booked the eurostar direct with eurostar which cost us £105 each and then the hotel (cheyenne)with Disney which was £584 costing us a total of £794but If we had booked the package via disney it would have been £984

I`m trying to hunt out prices for next march time -will be tied to school holidays though so it really is keep hunting!
so far booking with disney direct and then clubcard chunnel crossing seems the cheapest option !

hopefully off to DCR for 5 n 6 d but we`re taking my dd`s friend with us so thats 2 adults and 4 kids?!!!!are we mad !

thankyou for all your responses...have taken everything on board.Just left to book...:cool1:

Blag it!

I booked with Thomson and saved myself over £300. Everywhere online had very similar prices, except Eurostar which was about £250 cheaper. Called Thomson, and they agreed to price match it with the direct train, instead of changing at Lille like the Eurostar had. I could probably have thrown in free insurance too.

I went during summer hols tho, so probably not a huge amount of leeway, but if you're going during school time, they'll probably give you a lot more.

i have tried various ways of getting the price down, and the cheapest i could find (as long as you dont mind being tied down to set days) was through yabop disney.

i tried booking direct, and through various travel agents, and none could get near the price. most travel agents couldnt get me the hotel alone, for what i have paid all in.

now, im totally paranoid that its a scam as i cant find any online review for the company, but ill have to wait and see, thus far, they have been very helpful

I booked at first choice who gave me the price disney direct quoted me and then they booked eurostar seperatley and it saved heaps.

thomas cook quoted me £1000 and that was without eurostar...RIP OFF lol
