Do they still offer those $49 rooms? I booked a package with the dining plan and I'm hoping I can book a "room only" as well....if I can get it at a great rate.

82$ is the cheapest non-promotional rate during value season.

That said.. they sometimes offer promotional codes to individual guests or general public codes for discounts up to (not often this high) 40%.

If it is value and you are AAA, you can get around $65 a night.

The lowest we have gotten lately is $59 + tax back in January 2006. This was a Passholder rate.

With the free dining in value season in a value room, if you had two adults and two juniors, the rate is an effective negative balance. ($38.99 * 4 = $155.96 per night) Even with two adults, the room comes out to less than $10 per night.

So the Free Dining Discount for Value rooms is an INCREDIBLE deal.

I did get the free dining...I just want to add another room to my package as we may have a FLA resident/AP holder guest.

Just keep checking back for additional discounts. We did something similar for our Free Dining Trip in September.

We are 5 adults going. We booked two rooms, one with 2 adults, and one with 3 adults, paying the extra adult fee. (Two couples, one single adult).

We then had our 5th adult book his own room to actually sleep in at AAA rate.

He also has an AP, so if those rates become available, he'll try to drop his room to AP rate.

Doing it this way is actually cheaper than if he had booked Free Dining on his own.

(Honestly, the main reason we booked it this way, was because we booked Free Dining during the Bounce Back promotion, and we were limited to 1 room per adult there at the time, and there were only two of us there, if we had a third adult there at the time, we probably would have booked three Free Dining rooms.)

After we got home and crunched the numbers, we realized it was a better deal, so left it alone.
