What's the big deal about crocs??

I've always thought they were kind of cute. I'm in the minority on that. I personally don't think they belong with shorts though... very much a cute clog (not sure why people want to wear any clogs in the summer). I have tried them on more than once and everytime I put them on, there is a pain that goes from my shins to my knees on up... I even feel it in my back.

So not only are they not like walking on air for me, they actually *cause a lot of pain*

You won't be seeing me wear them.

They do stink up the place when you first get them!!! I leave mine out to 'breathe' for a few days before wearing them.
Do I wear them because they are 'in'? Nope, I was weaing them before they were 'acceptable' here in my area...thanks so much DIS board!! You couldn't really buy them anywhere other than the Crocs website. But, like I said before....they are comfy (for me) so I don't much care about how they look. I have thought the Birks have been ugly for years and people seem to have no problems with them!!

I don't have mine because they are "in", I must be about the first person in Belgium having them!
I think they're ugly, but even at my age, I already reached the point that I prefer comfortable shoes over pretty shoes for some occasions. I will still go shopping in my high heels, but for Disney, going to the golf, ... I wear my Crocs.

I have them in a sand-colour. If it turns out I really like them (will know at the end of the month if they are really great for Disney), I'll buy them in more colours.
I also have the light blue Athens (delivered at home by DHL because you can't find them in the few stores that sell them). They look just as stupid as any other pair of flip flops, but are so much comfier!!!!

The "real" crocs don't stink - that's why you have to spring for $30 to get the brand name - the knock-offs are the ones that stink. Say what you will, I wore crocs @ Disney & it truly was like "walking on marshmallows"! So wear whatever suits you & your feet - who cares as long as your feet love them!

Um, I dont think nordstroms sells fake crocs, I agree they are comfy but , they made me ill the first day I wore them and I havent worn them again , trying to see if they will air out a little.

Apparently they are hand made by angels who fill the shoes with clouds and the laughter of children.

I shattered my ankle a few years ago and shoes have since become a big issue for me. I can't tell you how happy Crocs make my ankle and feet feel. I have found other shoes through the years that were ok but the Crocs are the only ones that I can wear for 8-10 hours and have no pain in my ankle. I don't think they are the most attractive shoe ever made, but they work for me.
