Whats the best way to get to IOA from Disney?

We have always just stayed at Disney for the entire vacation, this next trip she would like to visit IOA for the Harry Potter World. How is the best way to get to IOA, if we are staying at Disney and have the Dinning plan?

Are you going for the day or staying overnight at one of the Universal hotels?

I am really not sure, I was thinking about just for the day but it depends on what other's have done and if it works.

We stayed in our Disney hotel (OKW) and ordered tickets with a shuttle package from a link here on the DIS. They were sold by Dreams Unlimited and the whole process was smooth. Shuttle picked us up at the front of our hotel, and brought us back. We did this on 2 seperate days. We did not have the dining plan for this portion of our trip.

We always spend a day or two over at Universal during our WDW trips. We just use the Mears shuttle. It's $19.00 round trip/person.
