Hi Everyone! Might be going on a last minute trip during spring break to Disney and was looking to stay at a Value resort to save some $$! I was wondering which value resort was your favorite and why? I've stayed on property at All Star Sports before, but other than that I've never stayed at a different value! Thanks so much!

I myself faced this same question recently. I ended up just booking the POP cause it having its own Bus Stop, and apperently better Food.. They all seem similar. ASMo seems to be the most popular of the AS line, but I think POP seems to be the favorite overall for values

The "best" value resort is whichever one you like best.

Pop Century is newer and shiner, and has some different options in teh food court.

The three All-Star resorts are all identical in ammenities, food courts, and size. The differences between the All-Stars are mainly in the layout of the resort and the theming. The All-Star food courts also have slightly better quality than the food court at Pop Century.

My personal preference is Music. It is the quietest of the Values, especially in the areas farthest from Melody Hall. But it is laid out in a long, straight line, so some of those areas quite a hike from Melody Hall. This doesn;t bother me, since I always have a car and always ask for a room close to the parking lot, but if you are relying on the busses, you will want to get a room closer to Melody Hall.

I was told POP was the newest, and the nicest, so we paln to stay there too. I would recommend not wainting last minute though. Especially during spring break. Most hotels tend to book up around that time. When is your spring break. Is it the same as most colleges? I know some do go on a different schedule.

Hey all- I highly recommend POP! I love it- we have stayed there 4 times, and ASM once. I prefer the food court at POP, and really just love the atmosphere! I didn't like sharing bus stops at the AS resorts, and POP just seems cleaner and more new. Of course, everyone has different opinions! If you can afford it, and if it is available- book a prefered room at any of the value resorts you stay at. Some of the buildings can give you a pretty long hike to those bus stops!

pop has ther own buses. Sports is the first pick up and drop off on the buses that service all but the Pop. When we stay at a value if it is not the pop or sports we walk to the sports bus pick up.:rolleyes1

Pop all the way baby! :cool1:
We loved our stay at Pop. Own buses, quick and efficient transportation. Loved the pool, kiddie pool was cool and our kids loved the Goofy playjets area. Nice arcade. WONDERFUL food court with everything you could ever want. We loved having the option of apple juice and slushies available at POP for the refillable mugs too.
The rooms are nice and the resort itself is just so bright and fun, newer is nice too. Enjoy!!!

I love them all. The values are about theming. So look on Allearsnet, check out the slide shows and see which one looks the most fun for you. Room wise they are about the same with a few minor differences. Pop has a small shelf in the bathroom that is nice for storing toiletries and the tv is bigger. Pop used to be newer and still is, but then its not brand new anymore so to me it doens't feel any newer anymore. WDW keeps all of their resorts on a rotation of being freshened up (paint, carpet etc.).

Hii. First of all, thank you so much for all of your replies so quickly! My friend has a timeshare at Old Key West and we were thinking of a last minute trip for spring break the week of March 12th. I own a dance studio and we hold classes on that Mon and Tues so we would have to meet them down there Wed so were thinking of adding a few days onto the vaca, but who knows whats going on anymore! The prices for flights are so expensive in March! I didn't realize it was peak season either. Regardless I'm making it down to Disney in 2007! My DBF and I are vacationing for 11 days in May at CSR! :)

Pop!

I dunno why, really. Newer, different scenery, like the pool and main building maybe?

I love the new All-Star decorations though!

One extra thing to think about:

See all the people who are screaming "Pop!" in this thread? That's the general reaction; Pop is the most popular.

Which means that Pop is also more crowded at any given time.
