My husband and I are taking an adults only trip in May. To help us plan a future family trip we want to take a few hours and visit all of the deluxe resorts. Can someone please tell me what is the best order to visit the resorts? We are staying at AKV and need to finish the day Hollywood Studios for a Fantasmic ADR.

It is all what you prefer, no order really. The best way would take the monorail to those resorts, since it would be most convenient. It also depends on what resorts you will be closest to when you start out.

I would do the monorail loop first. Start at the Contemporary since you can walk there from MK, then Poly, then Grand, then monorail back to MK and take the boat to Wilderness Lodge. From there you can take a bus to Epcot and hit the Epcot resorts Beach, Yacht, Boardwalk (or the other way around). Then you'll easily be able to walk or boat over to HS. That's how I would do it! :)

On a MK day, take the monorail around to those resorts. Be sure to check out WL....take the boat from MK.
On your DHS day, take the boat to the S/D, and then walk around the lake, checking out the resorts. Then you can head to DHS to end your day.
If you have the time, just head to the MK, do those resorts, then take the bus to S/D from MK when you're done. Check out the Epcot resorts and end the day at DHS.

When I do the gingerbread tour during the holidays, we generally do a monorail circle starting at mk, then we'll take the boat over to wilderness lodge and eat while there. For epcot resorts, we'll go out the international gateway and either boat to boardwalk and make our way back or just walk around eating at boadwalk. It's a little over an hour not counting the time to eat but we were just in the lobby for the displays and not really walking around the resorts. This is basically our afternoon break into early dinner and then we head back to the park. It's also easy to do the epcot circle from the boat at Hollywood or just walk around to boardwalk if your up for it.

i would agree with what others have posted. take the monorail around the MK loop... it will make the most sense to start at the contemporary since that is the direction that the monorail goes in (CR, Poly, GF). you could even easily walk to the contemporary from the MK. then head over the the epcot resorts. if you are ending at HS, then explore BC/ YC first (they are essentially one hotel), then the boardwalk, since the boardwalk is "on the way" to HS if you're walking to HS (which i recommend).
