What's the best compliment you've received lately?

A few weeks back I was attending a Deposition with my boss when one of the opposing attorneys commented on how well together I was and that "Stacy and Clinton would approve". She went on to tell me how everyone in her office watches it and she then asked if she could touch my dress!:goodvibes

I was wearing a very comfy dress from Kohl's that I bought years ago, with basic black shoes and no hose! Go figure

The other day I was at the grovery, the same one we always go to, and the same cashier has been working there since I was in elementary school. We chatted as she rang up my groceries about how my mom and I were doing and she told me that "it has been so nice to see me grow up into a responsible young lady" That felt really good.

The mother of a former 2nd grader told me that I was the reason her son is currently in medical school. (Doubt that, but nice to hear)

She said that I was the best teacher that he ever had during his school years. If I hadn't helped him with his learning differences in reading he wouldn't be the student he is today.:cloud9:

I received a note in my paycheckk from one of my bosses - it was very sweet and almost made me cry. :goodvibes

I also had a very difficult co-worker, one I have struggled with, tell me that he appreciates all that I do for him. That one came out of nowhere and really made me feel nice!

:thumbsup2

We had parent/teacher conferences Thursday night and all of the teachers told us that they enjoyed having our kids in their class and what nice, respectful kids they are.

Our goal in parenting has always been that our kids behave in public, so far, so good :lmao:.

I was wearing a purple blouse at work last week and one of my students said, "Hey...looking sharp, Mrs. H!" :) I also wore my hair up last week for the first time this school year (it's just getting long enough) and one of my girls said, "You're wearing your hair up!" I said, "Yes, I am." She said, "It looks really nice!" That made me smile!

My hubby compliments me often, but it's nice to get one from someone else!

My daughter started at a new high school and has a bunch of new friends. Last weekend I took them to a haunted house. On the drive, they asked me if I was in my mid 30s or late 30s.:rotfl: They didn't know that I have a son who is 34!
They couldn't believe that I am in my 50s.
I thought that was pretty good compliment.
