What's the best compliment you've received lately?

Oh! I wasn't fishing, but thanks.

agnes!

I know you weren't fishing! I really do think those things, and it made me sad that you hadn't received any good compliments lately!
Everyone should get compliments regularly!! :)

I agree with AprilShowers, Agnes....I love reading your posts and am sad that nobody has complimented you lately.

I think you are a smart and insightful poster!!

That my hair looked "great; long and lush and beautiful." After being bald from chemo, this has been a real thrill!! :cool1:

Oh what a fun thread!! I got one early this week, or maybe late last week, from a customer who had received something via mail, it was a sample but it was not something he could use. I offered to send him ones he could use and he told me that "speaking with a live person, and one so wonderfully pleasant was a great experience" and he wished more companies had pleasant young ladies answering the phones. :) That was great since I'm not exactly a "young" lady anymore. :) I also spoke to one of my clients today that I hadn't talked to for quite a while, he told me that I am a "pleasure to work with, knowledgeable and wonderful". But, the ones that mean the most are from the girls, "Mom, you're the coolest Mom EVER" "Mom you make the BEST chili EVER" "Mom, you are so pretty today" "Mom that dress makes you look like a Princess" the last one was at my BFF's wedding a few weeks ago. :)

I got two really nice compliments this week at work.

One patient has had a rough life and has spent a bit of time incarcerated. I really like this patient. "Mary is seriously ill! Her sister called in for an Rx to be printed for for her to it could be picked up for pt. I happened to answer the phone. The sister said "Oh Jan, I recognise your voice. I'm so glad it's you, you have been so kind to 'Mary'. I made up the envelope for the Rx. I was looking through one of the nurses sticker box that she uses for the kids. I thought it might brighten 'Mary's' day a bit to find a cute pumpkin sticker to put on this envelope (she was having a bad day and isn't out of bed often anymore). I found the perfect sticker of Rattatoullie that said "You are special"

Another pt is going through some issues that are troublesome to him. He always asks for me when calling or comes to my window when he comes to the office. He called 5 minutes before I was supposed to punch out today. My phone was already turned off so another girl answered, He asked for me so of course I took the call. at one point he said, " You met my wife the other day, she said you've got a friend in Jan ya know"
I got off the phone at 5:05

So those two comments really made me feel good today.

After spending a wonderful evening with my boyfriend's mother, I just received the following text message from her: "You are very special, and I'm so glad my son loves you!" :goodvibes

A lovely compliment indeed. :cloud9:

Sometimes there's too much focus on the negative. I saw this on another message board and thought I'd ask over here.

I actually had to think about a recent compliment, then I remembered.
DH told me last week how smart he thinks I am. :lovestruc Made me feel REALLY good!

Soooo what was the best compliment you've received lately?

My aunt told me that I have a nice figure. I know she was just being nice, but it really made me feel good. :goodvibes (BTW....I would agree that I have a nice figure, if I were a pear...LOL!)

one the girls who i work with, who i don't think like me very much, told me that she liked my earrings this morning. it made me feel good.

Some moms at the school I teach at stopped me and the office and said "We were talking about you. We think you're doing a great job, the kids love you." :goodvibes

My grandma told me she was proud of me for becoming a professional writer. :flower3: It melted my heart.

Wow! I think that's a beautiful compliment.:sunny:
With all the in-law/out-law stories around, that one just made me smile!!

I've had several nice ones this week. I brought a potential problem to my boss, and she exclaimed, "Oh, I just love that you're here -- you're just wonderful!" The tone was sincere, and it really meant a lot.

My board chair also sent an email that I did a great job on a project this week -- saved it in my "Kudos" file to read when I'm down.

Losing weight--DH keeps saying how great I look and gives "extra attention" to me. :lovestruc

Saw an old boyfriend/neighbor a couple weeks ago, and he told me I was a "very cute girl". I don't know, I mean it's nice, but I'm in my 30's -- not 12 :confused3

It took me three tries to realize it said writer not wrestler. :rotfl2: Sorry.

I saw a friend this week that I haven't seen in a few months. I've lost 15 lbs in that time. He hugged me and told me I'm now even hotter.

I like how he said "even hotter" meaning that you were hot before. I've lost weight recently too, and I was hot before and now I'm even hotter (or at least that is how I'd like to think!)

I've been told recently that I have a quick wit. :thumbsup2

My mom told me the other day that she thinks I'm being a better mom than she was.... and she was really the best mom ever so that's very high praise!! :D

I think it was....Wow! You've got an %$# LIKE #$%^@ and an incredible #$^^# OF #%^$ and I'd really like to %#$$ til Tuesday.

Well, this morning, I woke up, looked in the mirror and said damn... I look good today, and it was true.

I was told at my cousin's wedding that I was smokin'! I've never had anyone tell me that before, and I gotta say...it felt good! :thumbsup2

My 6 year old niece and 3 year old nephew both tell me constantly that I am their favorite aunt (and they have quite a few aunts)!! That makes me feel good.

I tell them that they are my favorite niece and nephew (actually, they are my only niece and nephew, but still... :) )
