I have never done character dining before but I think my kids would really enjoy it...

What do you recommend? I was thinking Chef Mickeys but I am not sure. Also, is breakfast, lunch or dinner better?

Thank you!!

I think that depends on the characters your kids really want to see. My family loves Liberty Tree Tavern but they only have character dining for dinner. You also won't see Mickey there. Characters are usually Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip & Dale. Never understood why they don't include Mickey in that one.:confused3

I'm sure your kids will be thrilled no matter which one you pick but if you know they have some favorite characters that are featured in a particular restaurant that might be your best choice.

Chef Mickey's is alot of fun for dinner, VERY lively party atmosphere and my kids LOVE to ride the monorail to and from the Contemporary Resort back to the parks. We especially love the HUGE ice cream bar with TONS on toppings, just makes it magical kids!!!!!!! Have fun and enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We haven't been to one, but this time we're doing Ohana, b/c Gabe (son) wanted to see Stitch!

I liked Chef Mickey's dinner the most but the food selection was small. The characters and service were great though plus you get the 5 main characters.

Chef Mickeys is fun, VERY loud, food is ok, characters are good. Crystal Palace has the best breakfast, Pooh and gang, nice atmosphere. Garden Grille is fun, but more restricted as you sit at your table during the meal, but the resturant turns and they love it. Ohana is lots of fun, good breakfast, you have to like the theme. I have 3 kids they love and look foward to all of the character meals-each is special to them and you really can't go wrong with any.

Crystal Palace for Breakfast is always our choice for character meals. DH & I always pick one character meal for every vacation & usually we end up at CP.

Chef Mickey's is very loud. I do like CP, the food is good. I also like GG, the food is okay but character reaction is great and it's fairly quiet. If you have shy kids GG is the one to shot for. You can place them in the middle of the booth and they would still be able to get attention, but at a "safe" distance. For us old folks, it's very relaxing. They bring the food to you and the characters spend time with you.

We really like Chef Mickey's for breakfast. We do it on our way to the MK so we get lots of energy for the park that day. I've heard the dinner is good too.

Chef Mickey's has the main characters there and that's lots of fun since Mickey's my favorite and Goofy right now seems to be DS's favorite.

If your dd likes the princesses, I would highly recommend the Princess Storybook Dining in Epcot (Norway). We had a fabulous time there in October with our two girls. We were there for breakfast, and the food was very good. The character interaction was wonderful! They took plenty of time with us and actually made several rounds. We had pictures with Belle (in her yellow dress), and then Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Mulan, and Jasmine were circulating during the meal. The service was excellent as well.

We absolutely LOVED:lovestruc Crystal Palace for dinner. We had 4 character meals and this was hands-down the best! :goodvibes We ended up there twice!
