Well, I did it! Talked DH into New Years Eve Cruise on the Wonder:Pinkbounc I think we may have lots of friends joining us too, along with my Mom, who is 76.

We've sailed the Magic twice, so I'm looking forward to sailing on her sister ship.

I need suggestions for Nassau day for a large party (so far we have 8, possibly up to 17 of us) I think most of us would like to visit a beach, but which one? Preferably somewhere not overly crowded, with easy access for Mom, who has some mobility issues.

We did Blue Lagoon last time when the Magic had the 4-day, but weren't impressed enough to want to go back there.

Any suggestions?

Oh, I forgot to mention that 4 in our party spent their last 2 vacations at the Atlantis and may want to try something different.

bump.....

I'll bump this up for you! I am not sure about how warm the beaches will be at New Years? And, with your mothers mobility, that may really cut down your options.

If you do end up with a group of up to 17, then I wondered about choosing an excursion that has limited availability, so that it is kind of like your group chartered it for yourselves. Of coarse, you may have to be the first one on the phone 60 days prior to get that!

Also, by calling and planning ahead, I wonder if you could make a reservation for your group for a brunch at a restaurant at a beachfront hotel, and would then be able to enjoy their beach?

I'm bumping this up again.....

Any ideas what the best beach in Nassau would be for a large party???? I'm thinking maybe somewhere we can get to by taxi.

We did the Blue Lagoon trip while at Nassau and went and saw the Stingrays. The Dolphin Experience is also there PLUS there is just a beach day.
I have read others that did not like it BUT the time we spent there was great. Loads of different beaches, hammocks everywhere. If you use the Disney excursion lunch IS included which was really quite good. It is where the opening scenes for Gilligan's Island was filmed apparently and our family loved it.
Hopefully that will give you at least one choice. Boat is the only option of getting there however.
Cheers,
Grumbo
