Is it super intense? Can the average coaster chicken handle it?

Anyone can handle it. There is no intense part, other than the end which is no different than riding in a convertable down the highway.

An adult chicken - yes. A child chicken- no!
My kids loved Goofy's Barnstormer and cars or all kinds- but HATED Test Track. Too jerky, bumpy and fast!

Have Fun!

It's really not that intense--just fast, once you're on the last half of the ride. Until then, they put your car through a series of "test" which can be someimes rough. Bumps :scared: , sudden braking  , curves :crazy2: , etc. Then, they do the speed test and you go fast until the end. It is a favorite of my whole family's--DS4 included and "Chicken Little" DD9. :goodvibes

How fast is fast? To give you an idea of the extent of my "coaster chicken" title, BTMR made me cry. I am Queen of the Coaster Chickens!!!!!

Basically, you're in a big open car that goes through a series of "tests." Bumps, curves, a hill (very small and NOT like a coaster), "heat," "ice" and the "speed" test. I think you go around 60-65 mph on the speed test, where it goes around a big track on the outside of the building.

It was my DD 10's all time favorite! She still talks about it.

You can watch a ride video at mousetimes (dot) com.

Go to Epcot > Attractions and its in there.

My DD watched it the other day and cannot WAIT to ride it. There's a trust issue with her , NO clue why, so I'm letting her watch everything so she totally knows what's to come. She has issues with the dark, so that rules out a good bit of rides for us. I blame Ellen and the dinosaures from Feb 04 trip. LOL

Those dinosaurs were pretty scary!! :)

We all love test track. I hate fast rides but this is excellent, it is one of the whole families favourite ride. My DH would ride it all day.

Where do you click on Epcot? I don't see it

My aunt road Test Track with us a couple of years ago - she was 85 at the time. :goodvibes

I would recommend trying it. It's not a coaster at all - no dips, inversions, etc. Just very fast at the end, but that's the best part! Go watch it from the ground first - I think you can see how fast it goes on the outside. Then you can decide.

I personally thought it was slow and boring. I was ready for speed, but was very disappointed. :(

I've been on Test Track two times, and I'm a big chicken. I hated it the first time and never thought I'd do it again. The last part is really fast. But I did go on again and just closed my eyes. I've never gone on TOT or RRC. I finally went on space mountain last October for the first time and really had fun!!. I think you should try it. If you don't like it don't do it again. Hopefully you won't cave into pressure from your family making you go on it again. Have fun!!

you know we had waited yrs to ride this and it was blah. kind of like "that's it?" i really like world of motion more cause it at least had cute themeing, this is just kind of hohum to me. the last few seconds were fun but not scary to me at least so i'd say except really little kids, it ok

Test Track is great !!! Believe me, I am a chicken when it comes to rides but my DH told me I would be o.k There was a little girl on the ride and she kept laughing and telling me I would be fine ( yes I was embarassed  ) it was fun ride and I was glad I went on and will do it again !!!!!!!!! :thumbsup2

I agree Test Track is fun. I hesitated the first time DD wanted me to go on it with her (she had ridden it with friends), but I worried my self for nothing. The end is great when you are out in open air going fast around the curve! :car:

I wouldn't say that. Convertables don't tilt to the side at a 45 degree angle. But that's mostly true. Aside from the last part, it's not very intense. Unless you're the type of person that gets freaked out by the drop on Pirates Of The Caribbean, you should be fine.
