Thought you forgot something, then remember you warm weather folk typically don't have basements like those of us who are 90% the way to a basement because of how far to dig down to below the frost line, LOL.

There are a few older houses with basements here, but the issue tends to be the water table is so high it can be a problem.

Gotcha. Very very odd to find no basement here. I passed on one house because it was on a slab foundation. That is the only one I know of other than one other house outside of PA I have been in with no basement.

I have a crawl space foundation.

Nothing. The basement stairs are under to stairs to the second floor, so no storage. There is a small storage area under the basement stairs. Just have some boxes in there.

This is under the basement steps. We don’t have a useable attic here. Only insulation up there.

The stairs to the basement are under the stairs to the second floor. Under the basement stairs are many, many boxes of stuff. It belongs to my aunt so I have no idea what's in them.

Our wine grotto! When building our home, it’s was empty space prime for junk. Asked our builder how much for a wine grotto. Got a reasonable price and the rest is history. Put my coffee maker in there too so I’d have a reason to go in there in the mornings.

3 flights of stairs. No storage under any. My neighbor has the same style of house as me but no basement. In his house there is under the stair storage but they have no basement.

Our basement stairs are under our second story stairs. Under the basement stairs are gift bags/wrapping paper and board games.

Turned that area into a playhouse when the kids were little. Full sized door and trimmed window on the side. My little is 11 and still plays in there once in awhile!
