I've read alot about how people love their Vera Bradley bags, so recently won one on Ebay. It's OK, but I don't see what all the buzz is about. It's like a small cloth backpack with a very small zipper compartment in it. Am I missing something? I'm debating on taking it to WDW, instead of my baggalini or WDW backpack.

I agree.

DH's grandma, aunts and cousins are crazy about them but I don't get it either. :confused3

I have a few that they gave me but don't use.

There are so many patterns .. ones to suit every taste. I agree, some do look like my granny would carry it, but some are really cute.

You see them all over my daughter's college campus. She and I both have several and carry them often. They are nicely priced and hold up well. You can even machine wash them.

I don't like the backpack style at all. I use the handbag ones. I got a set of the watch straps this summer and enjoyed wearing them.

its just a personal perference thing. I see everyone on the community board going crazy over coach bags. I don't get those. But to each their own.

I like Vera Bradley bags because they are sturdy and can be machine washed. I live not far from Vera Bradley land, so I can go to the shows and get them very, very cheap.

I have a purse rotation and I have lots of Vera Bradleys, but I also have other bags that I carry. Right now I have a Wilson Leather tote that I am using. I will go back to my Veras later!

My DD who is 10 has 3 pocketbooks with matching wallets and ipod nano covers plus she uses the messenger as her bookbag and she has the large duffle bag for her suitcase. She loves the stuff and alot of the girls at her dance studio have them too, plus the moms too. I love them too.

My DD and I love the Vera Bradley's but my favorite was the new hipster I bought especially for Disney. It is the teal blue paisley pattern with the brown background, and has the strap that goes across your body and sits at the hip. I Love it!! But it definately is a preference because I have friends who don't like them at all. Oh well!! To each their own!! :cheer2:

I'm not a fan. I agree with the poster who said they look granny, that is exactly what I think when I see them!

i think theyre kinda pretty depending on the design and its kinda like just cuz everybody has one and theyre expensive its kool to have one

I would be careful carrying a VB to Disney World. I read on one post that someone's had faded very badly in the Florida sun. I plan on carrying my Baggallini.

They look like potholders to me. The day my 72yo mother started carrying one was the day I lost interest :rotfl:

I bought one this year specifically to bring on a WDW trip. It worked out really well I was able to carry everything I needed (including diapers and wipes!). I like that I can machine wash it.

I prefer my dooney and bourke purses, but they just aren't the right size or shape for me for my trips so that is why I tried out the vera bradley.

I happen to be a Coach fanatic...but Vera Bradley bags are all over New Jersey. Wealthy older women tend to carry them...at least that is how it seems...which is odd to me...wearing $300 shoes and a Burberry Coat with a Vera Bradley bag...wha? Anyhow...lots of patterns and colors...I got one for my mom for Christmas b/c she quilts and the bags remind me of quilts! I got a Vera Bradley make up bag from a parent of one of my students...I would never have purchased one for myself, but it is a nice make up bag and I use it when I travel!

shoes and bags are funny things...very addictive and you never know what will grab your attention!! :goodvibes

I'm smiling as I read this thread. A good friend gave one to me as a gift when she and her DH came to visit last summer. Only mine was stuffed with bottles of wine and liquors. :thumbsup2 What's not to like? Now I use it to carry my shoes and other items to work that won't fit in my purse. It's come in very handy but I had no idea it was anything special.

Im with Missy Prissy I am also a COACH freak...However I do carry around a Vera Bradley bag as my bookbag on campus and take the large tote bag on planes because if it gets dirty I can wash them. I can't really wash my leather coach purse. I don't plan on carrying it around WDW though...

WooHOO!!! Another Coach afficianado!!! I also do NOT carry my beloved works of art ( ;) ) in the parks. I got a very utilitarian Overland Donner bag for my park trekking adventures!! :flower3:

I am a former Orlando resident and carried VB constantly and never had one fade. I agree with another poster about the new hipster style. I loved carrying it in WDW very comfortable

I have tons of Vera bags. I like them because they are sturdy, I could carry a bowling ball in them. I carried a vera instead of a diaper bag too. I go to the Vera Bradley sale with my best friend every year, it is located in Ft Wayne and I live about 20 mins from there and she comes down from MI. It is just something for us to do togther, plus it is funny to see all the crazy women running around the Coliseum snaching handbags like they are precious gems!!!! They put a 2,500 limit on what you could buy at the sale, because women were buying thousand of dollars worth of handbags. Too crazy.
