I noticed that it was said that this fills up early and seems to be very important to a lot of people. SInce there are other opportunities to see the princesses and characters I was curious. We have never been there before so I don't want to miss anything.

Thanks, Lori

It's about the experience of eating in the Castle. Honestly, as both a meal and a character experience, I've seen better, but I'm not sorry I did it in the least.

Honestly for us it is only the setting. The food (we did lunch) was not that great, it is pricey, and the character interaction seemed a little rushed in the restaurant. But if you have never been there I think it is one of those things you should do once. The restaurant is pretty and the view of Fantasyland is fantastic.

We did lunch at CRT back several years ago when there were no characters at lunch, and then it was seeing the inside of the castle and also the food was good. The inside of the restaurant is elaborately themed and was a nice quiet break from the crowds below.

We did it for the past 3 trips and both our DD (5) and DS (3) love it everytime. I believe my DW just make another ADR for CRTlunch this morning for our surprise July trips.

Ill give you the answer. Every girl wants to be a princess whether she is 5 or 95. Its all about the experience. Im sure we would all stay in the room at the Castle if we could.

We may be in the minority, but we actually really like the food there (we have always done breakfast.) We started to be able to say we ate in the castle just once, but love it so much we wind up going just about every trip. I love that my girls feel like princesses when we go there. On our last trip we added the slipper dessert because we thought it may be our last time going for a while since the kids are getting older and it is pricey. We may hold off now untill we have grandkids, but then again maybe not...

But to answer the OP's question, there is nothing like dining in a castle, much less Cinderella's castle.

When my dd turned 6, back in '99, we wanted to have her birthday breakfast at the Castle. But our TA messed up royally (forgive the pun), and waited too long. So, we did a non-character lunch. It was actually very good.
Then, about 18 months later we were able to get breakfast there...the two girls were thrilled.
Then, on another trip, we ate dinner there..it was my dh's first experience there. No characters. He still talks about the terrific steak he got there. He said it was one of the best pieces of steak he has had...go figure.
I am going to be trying for breakfast there in August...my eldest dd has never eaten there, so it will be nice for her to be treated like a princess for a bit.

The whole thing about eating inside the Castle is the big draw...I know that's why we're going back.

I liked that my kids were able to interact with a variety of princesses (Cinderella, Snow White, Belle, Jasmine) and the Fairy Godmother without having to wait in long lines or feel rushed. We have a tonne of wonderful pictures! :) Dining at CRT early in our trip also meant that we didn't have to spend the rest of our park days looking for or waiting for characters.

Plus, eating at Cinderella's house enhanced the magic for my youngest dd who was told by a friend that the castle was just a plain old restaurant(which is true if you've never actually experienced it!).

Our family had breakfast there one morning and our seating time was at 7:50 AM. We had a great table by the window, our food was great, and our dd had a blast! We did not feel rushed at all. We are debating on whether to do the breakfast at CRT again or try a different one. I am afraid we will be disappointed at a different one.

:rotfl: My daughter(7) keeps asking when she can stay in the "hotel room in the Castle". She thinks all I need to do is book a reservation! It would be awsome!

#1...it's the castle!!!!!!!! :lovestruc

#2- I thought the food was pretty darn good! We had the Major Domo. Mmmmmmm.

#3...you are guaranteed to see Cinderella and the princesses are there!

I passed up this ADR in 2008 because I thought DH and DS wouldn't be happy with it even though I truly wanted to go their. DD was only 2 so I couldn't use her as an excuse. When I made the ADR for last month DH was so excited. I should have booked it in 2008!! We all had a blast.

Its all about the castle and the princesses......the castle is such a landmark for fantasy and happily ever after, that dream is what makes CRT so special. We go everytime for breakfast and we really enjoy our breakfast but nothing beats my dd's face when she enters the castle and then sees Cinderella come down the stairs. PURELY MAGICAL:wizard:

I only wish I knew;)
DD has to eat there every trip and $95 for a sandwich and sweet potato chips seems like a lot:confused3
It's all about the CASTLE for her. She's 16 too!!:goodvibes

I thought only Cinderella, the Prince and the Fairy Godmother were there. A couple of posts mentioned other princesses. My daughter is not a big Cinderella fan(she Loves Aurora) so we booked the story book princess dinner but now I am not so sure. Do you definitly see the other princesses?

Yes you will definately see other princesses at breakfast, they just won't guarantee which ones but we have always seen Aurora.

Yes, it is the castle location that makes me want to go and take my dd's this year!! Cinderella and other princesses (you never know who for sure) are there for breakfast and lunch. For dinner it is Cinderella in the entry hall/lobby and the Fairy Godmother and the mice in the dining hall.
