What's so fun about a budget?

My husband's 2003 Passat just required a transmission replacement. The total cost of the job was $4300.00 for a rebuilt transmission. Luckily we had purchased a third party warranty a few months ago. Unfortunately they only covered $2500.00 of the repair so we still had to shell out $1700.00! Naturally, as luck would have it, this happened one week before our trip to HHI. So needless to say, we did a lot of eating in this year at the resort.
