I could never stop loving Gail Carson Levine.

She wrote one of my favorite books ever.

I now have two YA titles on my booklist for my library system's website.

One of them is by an author that I met sophomore year and the other book I read by him was decent, and I read rave reviews for this one that I plan to read.

The other is a retelling of The Little Mermaid with really positive reviews as well.

I wish there was a website listing YA novels that don't suck.

I have an issue with how immature a lot of the characters/plots are in YA novels.

It's all the same. "I'M A RICH GIRL WITH A PERFECT LIFE AND THEN SOMETHING HAPPENS TO MAKE IT NOT PERFECT BUT IT'S PERFECT AGAIN IN THE END."

No... Just no.

I used to love Sarah Dessen until I noticed all her books went like this:

"I'm such a troubled teenager oh and I'm also really attractive and live with well-to-do relatives and I'm not popular but people know my name and there's this boy that I really like hanging out with but some misunderstanding occurs but then we both get over it and admit our true feelings for each other oh and there's always some nod here or there to another one of the books."
