The Pride of the Yankees.
Probably one of the most heart touching films I've ever seen. Lou Gehrig is truly an inspiration and his story, just wow. It's an amazing film about the life of a man who slowly contracts this little known about disease at the time and now it's called Lou Gehrig's Disease. His farewell speech will always be writting in my brain "Today (today today today) I consider myself (myself myself myself) the luckiest man (man man man) on the face of the earth (earth earth earth)" Whether or not you like the Yankees, that speech has gone down as baseball's most famous speech.

Jim Abbott is also one of the most famous "disabled" ball players in MLB history. And believe it or not, like Lou, he played for the Yankees too. Jim only had one hand. And guess what? On September 4, 1993 while pitching for the New York Yankees, Abbott pitched a no-hitter against the Cleveland Indians. A one handed man pitched a no-hitter for the Yankees. It's amazing enough he's a ball player with only one hand, but to pitch a no hitter? He's such a true hero in my eyes! So to all those people who say the Yankees are selfish jerks. Look at the team who hired- and stuck with- a man who was slowly going insane and a man with only one hand.
