I'm trying to make a grocery list, and I'm stuck. I'm so tired of making what seems like the same list over and over. It ALWAYS has the same stuff on it.

milk
bread
juice
diapers
diaper wipes
toilet paper
cheese
bananas
grapes
apples
broccoli
green beans
corn
chicken
hamburger
salad
tomatoes
cereal

We always seem to have these same ingredients, morphed into different meals. It feels kinda boring, even though I'm cooking different stuff all the time.

So what's on your list every week?

You have a tiny grocery list! Do you shop for every week? Do you incorporate new recipes into your rotation? I try at least 2 new recipes a month and won't make the same thing more than once a month.

same boat as you, minus the diapers.

hamburger meat
steak
chicken
pork chops
veggies
soup
bread
cold cuts
cheese
french fries
salad
toilet paper
paper towels
snacks for school lunches

I just walk through the store in my mind as I'm making my list. I start in produce which means cucumbers first and end at the pop aisle with diet 7-Up. The stuff in between varies. :teeth:

peppers
cucumbers
eggplant
carrots
lettuce
peaches
apples
orange
bananas
strawberries
tomatoes
potatoes
onions
garlic
bread
pasta in several varieties
crushed tomatoes
olives
Ovaltine
apple sauce
misc soups
canned corn
taco sauce/seasonings
whole wheat tortillas
chocolate chips
flour
sugar
Bisquick
maple syrup
juice
low fat mozzarella cheese
low fat extra sharp cheddar
Smart Balance
ricotta cheese
ground beef
roaster chicken
ham
pork tenderloin (teriyaki and/or mesquite)
boneless chicken breasts
steak
cubed beef for stew
fat free hot dogs
bacon
eggs

I think that about covers it. :)

I have a generic list which is verrry similar to yours that i print up every week and then I add to it based on the meals for the week :)

I make a lot of Mexican food, so that's another staple on our list too :)

Pop
Turkey Burger
Cereal

Baby Oatmeal
Baby Juice

THis is just basics. I haven't gotten into meal planning yet. :upsidedow

 :woohoo: I think I'm going to leave this thread now before I say something stupid. :sad2:

Have you tried raviolis, tortellini or periogies? We also have fish once or twice a week. My 7 yo will eat it if she has some italian salad dressing to dip it in. DH and DD also love pot roast and stew so I'll make big batches of those and put several servings in the freezer. For veggies your kids might like sugar snap peas or grape tomatoes and red pepper slices.

Tig, I'm shocked and appalled :rolleyes1 :rotfl2: .

I feel so sorry for her husband. She's always got 1 thing on her mind & it isn't grocery shopping. ;)
