What's on your christmas list?

I saw a thread posted on the community board for people to post what is on their christmas list this year since all the threads tend to go with who/what you are buying for everyone else.

Sooo....what's on your list??

I haven't really given thought to much except for some makeup from MAC and some perfume.

Kindle Fire, clothes, new pair of boots, new dinnerware. Some other non-exciting things that we need like new sheets.

I really want an IPad. that's it. Well...boots and clothes for work but those I just consider part of being dressed for work. The IPad is a complete indulgence. I would be very content just getting an 8g wi-fi only refurbished model....which is why I have been on the Apple website all morning.

Does anyone ever feel guilty making a Christmas list?

EVERY YEAR I feel this way... like... why am I deserving of this?

...maybe I just need to get over it.



DH already got me 2 things for Christmas (they came to the house and he was too excited to wait to give them to me. not wrapped.... just handed them to me )

SO, I have gotten season 2 of the Golden Girls and a Silver D23 membership! DH says he has one small thing to give me still and I am FORCING him to wait until Christmas morning!!!!

But I still feel guilty about GETTING gifts for Christmas. I love giving them, though. I'm a giver- I give and give and GIVE, whether it's time, money, service, gifts, whatever I can do. But RECEIVING gifts is what I almost dread. Not sure why- I always enjoy them (or enjoy taking them back if it's something I won't use to exchange ), but it's almost like I feel like I don't deserve them. Like, people could be doing so much MORE with their money helping others than giving me a gift for Christmas, you know? Maybe I'm crazy.

Oh well, 'tis the season. I will not feel guilty this year.... I will not feel guilty this year.... I will not feel guilty this year....

I would like Amazon gift cards to buy more books for my Kindle...or use that towards buying a Kindle Fire. I'd like Disney gift cards, I'm planning a trip next year and could use some fun money.

My boyfriend paid the adoption fee for my new puppy for my birthday/Christmas gift so I'm really happy already!

I want one of the Ecoist handbags made of recycled candy wrappers. They cost more than I usually spend for handbags so I've been coveting one for a year or more. But I sent my kids a link to the website and a coupon code so I'm hopeful . . .

I'm another who just buys for herself and wraps it up for under the tree. I have a really good employee discount and got myself pink suede Uggs slippers, Philosophy peppermint shower gel, and a pink slanket all for just $65 or so. No one else could get me all that for that little.

My hubby and I also picked the 8gb iPod Touch at Target BF for $136 or so. Yay! I love my iPad, but this will be more portable.

PS-No, I don't feel guilty. It's not that much, and I work hard as a mom, employee, very pregnant woman, etc. I Also donate a lot of money and time to the kids schools, angle tree, sponsor a child, local food bank, library, etc. I deserve some nice things for just me! And so do all of us, as long as it is within reason.
