What's on your christmas list?

I wish I could make up my mind! DH & I shop together for my gift because I generally want things he knows nothing about (techie married to technophobe ;) ), but I CANNOT make up my mind this year... Either an iPad 3G, or upgrading my dSLR, or a new sewing machine and cabinets/shelves for my office/craft room.

For others who have asked for ideas I've mentioned a pizza stone, a meatloaf pan (yes, the cheesy as-seen-on-tv one), a particular set of lamps for my living room, and the Harry Potter DVD set. And I know my mother got me a nice 100-spool thread assortment w/rack because I was with her at Joanns when she bought it.

Every year I do my own shopping for my gift/s from dh. This year it was a Le Creuset French oven and a matching skillet. These have been a want of mine for years and I found deals too good to pass up so I bought them.
Dh does like to take the kids out so they can pick up things for me, but I give my dd a list of things I really want so she can lead dh and my dses in the right direction
This year I'm asking for
Silicone steamer insert
Zyliss garlic press
Cashmere Mist body lotion or maybe a perfume and lotion set, even though I already have the perfume.
VS flannel PJs if they are on sale, or a GC so I can get them when they go on sale.

Is it wrong that I'm reading all of your lists to try to come up with one of my own?:rotfl:

I guess a small part of it is guilt.. but I think it's more that I just don't give it much thought.
I have inlaws and family that are going to buy me things no matter what, so I might as well come up with some ideas for them. I just draw a blank!
Maybe I'll work on a small list today.
I do know that sometime after Christmas every single year I think "Oh that's what I wanted!!" :headache:

Me too....so this year I've been making a list as I think of things...... :thumbsup2

I saw the meatloaf pan on tv and if it's as good as the brownie pan then I want one too! I love the brownie pan!!

Time will tell... My mom got one and loves it, which is why I decided I want one too, but she hasn't had it long enough to know how it'll hold up over time.

This has been great at gift giving ideas :)

I got the OPI Muppetts Mini set today as a gift for someone!

Starting today some of the Hipster's will be on sale at Vera Bradley for $29.99!

I would like a vera bradley tote in Suzani and a Nook Touch. That's it :)

I don't really have a list this year. I always have a hard time coming up with things for myself. DH bought me a new piece for my Willow Tree Nativity set on Black Friday because Elder Beerman had them on sale for 30% off :cool1:

My mom has been asking for suggestions and I have nothing for her. I wanted a programmable crockpot but MIL picked one up for me a week or so ago so I scratched that off my list. Outside of some work clothes and maybe a gift card to get books for my Nook, I have nothing. MIL buys experiences instead of gifts and DH and I are considering telling her to get DH, DD and me gift cards to Disney so we can take a super short trip when we go in the Spring to visit MIL in Tampa.

I never feel guilty when I have a list but I guess I just never find anything that I want for myself. I would rather buy for others then myself.

I'm another who just buys for herself and wraps it up for under the tree. I have a really good employee discount and got myself pink suede Uggs slippers, Philosophy peppermint shower gel, and a pink slanket all for just $65 or so. No one else could get me all that for that little.

My hubby and I also picked the 8gb iPod Touch at Target BF for $136 or so. Yay! I love my iPad, but this will be more portable.

PS-No, I don't feel guilty. It's not that much, and I work hard as a mom, employee, very pregnant woman, etc. I Also donate a lot of money and time to the kids schools, angle tree, sponsor a child, local food bank, library, etc. I deserve some nice things for just me! And so do all of us, as long as it is within reason.

I must live under a rock - what is a slanket? I had no idea you were pregnant…Congratulations!!

Not sure that DH and I will exchange this year. If we do:

A small bottle of Givenchy Very Irrestible
Any smelly house stuff-wax melts, candles, wall flowers
Amazon gift card to buy books on Kindle
iTunes gift card for a few new songs
A nice, soft robe and pjs

Any of the above would be fine. I guess my top picks would be the robe and jammies :)

I picked up the Panasonic Lumix GF3 this morning on the Target deal - a huge impulse buy but I needed a new camera for a trip to China next summer, and it was a deal I just couldn't pass up.

It's only DD11 and me, so it's up to me to get my own gift :rolleyes1

My Xmas list can only be granted by a higher power:

Great Weather
Healthy Kids

for our Xmas vacation!! Vacation away from all of the stress here is my Xmas wish and it looks like I am getting it! Keeping my fingers crossed nothing happens in the next three weeks to alter that!

I told my children I would buy my own MP3 player if they would put my favorite CDs on it. I've never had or wanted one, but two of our cars and the van have the place to plug one in and it would be nice on trips when the radio stations all fade out. I got an IPOD Nano from Toys R Us and they've already started the project. No cost to them and I would have never gotten any music on it otherwise. I have little patience for that sort of thing.

would anyone understand if I said what I'd like to have is a lifetime supply of paper towels, tp, kleenex and laundry soap since it seems that we are always out? :)

The only thing on my list now is a new oven. Mine went out ON Thanksgiving. All my wants have been replaced by this.

I had asked for a new wire beater for my Kitchenaid....but now may need a whole new mixer, as mine seems to be on its last legs. Total bummer, but it has last from my FIRST wedding...almost 19 years ago :).

I would love gift cards for clothing, as I never buy myself clothes, or for nice local restaurants.

Need a case for my iPhone, and knowing how clutzy I am, should probably ask someone to spring for an Otterbox.

Oooh...want to get a Kinect as a family gift so then someone can give me the Disneyland Adventure game !

Thanks for posting about the iphone case!! I was just on the juicy couture website and they have them. Now I need to add that to my list. My list is getting a little longer because of this thread!

I want to travel. :)

I could probably think of some actual items I want but none are really needed. For example I have an iPhone 4, but the 4S would be nice, and I have an iPad but the iPad 2 would also be nice. Neither of those are wise purchases and the money would be better spent on a plane ticket. :lmao:

I hate clutter, and I'm forever cleaning (neat freak) so more stuff = more mess. Perhaps some new luggage and a family vacation. I'm high maintenance I know :rotfl: I have the travel bug all.the.time.

I would love to be given the gift of travel!! I am always researching vacations!! Just the funds are not there!

:) A Slanket is just a much thicker, better quality Snugglie. I'm 32 weeks today, so getting there... that's why I want to be done shopping. I came up with a great idea for my sister (Kitchen Aid mixer) and she went and bought herself a $13 one at Target on Black Friday. Ugh!

Your list sounds nice--hope you get some of those items! I'm off to check out those OPI muppets nail polishes.

This is the first year I am actually giving DH a list for my stuff. The poor guy just can't shop, and I can't take another Christmas of opening gifts that will never get used, LOL. His feelings are a little hurt, but he'll adjust. ;)

My top pick would be the Kindle Fire, but not sure if the budget will allow it yet.

My back-up (and more budget friendly) choices are:

Taylor Swift Speak Now deluxe CD
Rodney Atkins If You're Going Through Hell CD

Sookie Stackhouse Companion Book

The Mickey and Minnie PJ sets they have at Target ~ these are so cute!! :thumbsup2

Starbucks or Dunkin' Donuts GCs

And I always tell him he can never go wrong getting me anything to do with Disney. The year he did my shopping at the Disney Store was my favorite Christmas ~ and of course they shut ours down the very next year. :sad2:

We're going to Canada in the summer, so some of our gift will be Canadian money.

....which is really just our own money converted to Canadian money... so it doesn't REALLY count as a gift... but it'll be funny to see some loonies and toonies in the stockings! :goodvibes

I have no idea if I'm even spelling that right.
