You see, I had these extra points burning a whole in my pocket and our next visit not until October. So I got to thinking a quick get away trip in May for my birthday would seem justified under the circumstances ;)

So I called MS to book a room 5/16-19. I am able to get the first night and the last night, but not the middle night. Ugh. VWL, AKL, BW are all booked. So I am on the waiting list for BCV the middle night with a reservation at SSR.

Do I have a reasonable chance that the waitlist will come through?

If the waitlist doesn't come through, we will not want to move resorts back and forth so I have to hope a studio at SSR or OKW will be open within 31 days of my trip or cancel all together, correct?

Are SSR or OKW pretty much accessible at the last minute?

Or am I better off to move the whole trip to SSR/OKW now while it is available and put the whole BCV stay on a waitlist?

Ugh, I don't know what to do :confused3

Staying at BCV is my primary objective!!

Does it have to be that week? Try bumping it up one week later. I heard that there were openings for the week after what you were looking for, as long as you didn't need a 2br. This info is about a week old so it may not be credable anymore.

I would take what is available for the entire time and waitlist for the other. I recently had to do a 3 night stay with the first night in a studio, the second in a GV and the third back in another studio. It wasn't horrible moving around (it was all with in the same resort) but I definitely wouldn't want to do it again.

I agree with booking the whole stay and then doing the whole waitlist. You don't want to be switching daily. That would be terrible for you.

I would keep one of the ends at BCV, probably the last night because of lower points weekday. I would go to SSR for the first two, and waitlist for the first two nights BCV. That's because it is Flower and Garden, and being at BCV for at least one of the nights is worth it to me. You can get over there in the AM, check in...spend the morning/early afternoon at Epcot and just walk back to the hotel...enjoy/relax at SAB, and go back to Epcot for night.

Thanks for the suggestions! I hadn't realized the F&G Festival started that weekend when we started this process. There is also a marathon which isn't helping keep people away!! We do "need" to be there for those days because one of them is on my birthday and the intent is to be there for that and get the $75 gift card which I've already mentally spent on pins!! :lmao:

We don't have enough points left over to do a Wed-Sun stay since the points are higher so we're going for a Sat-Wed stay.

I am trying to decide if it is more important to me to be at home (BCV) then to not go at all. If we can't get into BCV for the whole stay, I may just bank the points and see if I can do a cash stay for a few days.
