What's more fun? Transportation question...

If you are able to stay at a Disney resort during your stay, and you will be visiting all the parks equally, what's more fun for you...
being able to walk to a park (say from Beach Club or BWI to Epcot), or being able to take the monorail from your resort (say the Poly or GF to MK or Epcot).
I booked Poly for the first time and will be going in 22 days!! I was just curious if people enjoyed the quick walk from their hotel better than a monorail ride. I might try Beach Club next trip. Am I bad that I'm already thinking about next trip, LOL!

I choose both! The Contemporary. Quick walk to the MK and monorail ride to Epcot. I think you'll love the Poly the monorail availability to both MK and Epcot are quick and easy.

I like walking.

Now that we've been to WDW a few times, the urge to rush to the parks and see everything has given way to the desire to just relax and have some fun. Walking also removes some of the burden of having to wait for the bus/monorail/boat, having to wait in line for the bus/monorail/boat, and having to wait even longer if the crowds are too big for the bus/monorail/boat.

We've stayed at the GF and love the monorail to MK -- first stop-- and the boat back -- first stop.

As good as the WDW transportation system can be, walking can be the best option when the parks are busy.

If your favorite park is MK and they are open late during your stay, I would recommend The Contemporary Resort.

If your favorite parks are Epcot or MGM, I recommend Yacht Club, Beach Club, Boardwalk or Swan/Dolphin.

We often think of the boats and monorails as just another attraction at The World.

Always walk to MGM and Epcot from BW. Not very far and not very long. Going for our first stay at AKL this November, wish there was a walkway to AK!

I like walking from the Swan/Dolphin to Epcot and MGM. I can always take the boat if I want. For a monorail fix, I can walk through Epcot to the front entrance and take the monorail over to MK. Actually what we usually do is take the monorail from MK to Epcot and then walk through World Showcase in the evening. It's a nice way to end a day in the parks.

I like BW for the close proximity to EPCOT our families favourite park. We stay at BWV as DVC members made much more sence to us than to pay cash for a room at any of the deluxes.

If my only choices were walking or taking the monorail, then I'd say monorail! But the Polynesian is out of my price range so I like to stay at Wilderness Lodge, and boat over to MK.

I LOVE to be able to walk!:D That's why since we've discovered the Epcot resort area, we always like to stay over there. It's just soooo convenient to be able to walk to 2 parks (plus taking the monorail from Epcot to MK). This year with 2 strollers, I'm sure I'll love it even more!

:D

Monorail!!!
You can walk places any day. You can only take the monorail while you're in Disney. Besides, the monorail isn't just a mode of transportation, it's an attraction itself.

I'm not a big monorail fan. Walking or boating for me
