What's Missing at AKV

There is a service road that starts at the tennis courts in front of Kidani that makes for a decent running loop.

It leads to a small cast parking lot and if you keep following it all the way around goes back to an old construction yard. There's a sign that says "no unauthorized vehicles beyond this point" but hey, there's no sign about pedestrians

I've run it a few times and never seen anyone back there, either in cars or on foot. Try at your own risk!

I just looked at a satellite view. I see where you are talking about. Doesn't look too scenic. But I'm glad to know there are other people who would have used a trail if it had been built. Maybe if enough people get caught running back to the old construction site, Disney would think it safer to build a trail closer to the resort. Who will join me?

ETA--After looking at satellite views a little more closely, that construction site is pretty scary! It looks pretty remote and surrounded completely by trees. You were pretty brave to go back there by yourself. I think I'll stick to walking from the tennis courts to the parking lot, and I'll stay far away from that pond! But that part must be pretty safe since CMs have to walk from there. Just wish it had some pretty foliage to enjoy.
