Hey everyone!!! I was wondering what you guys thouht about the Liberty Tree for their Dinner. We have been there for lunch and liked it. We were looking to book there or Tonys for before Mickey's Very Mery Christmas Party.
:santa:

I like it very much. Its bascially comfort food, a Thanksgiving meal of sorts. Turkey, ham, flank steak, mashed potatoes, stuffing, mac and cheese and green beans for the main course. It is served family style and is all you can eat. I really like the salad, it has a strawberry vinegarette that is really good and the rolls are also yummy. They have either apple or cherry cobble for dessert that is also good. My family loves this one, we enjoy the setting, the characters dressed in colonial garb and have had a good meal there several times. All that said however, there will be people who will swear the food is frozen, the meat is processed and it just generally stinks! And thats their right and opinion. I just seem to always see reviews that either love or hate the place, not a lot of in betweens! I say you always have to try something yourself to know for sure.

I also like Tony's and thats another one that generates a lot of passionate reviews of either love it or hate it! We ate there before MVMCP in December and it was one of our favorite meals. We enjoyed the Lady and Tramp theming and while it wasn't the most authentic, incredilbe Italian food we have ever had, it became a must do for us. Again, you don't know until you try!

They are both great to do on party nights as they are right in the Magic Kingdom. Good luck with your choice!

We like it. I think the reason we love it so much is after being in the parks for a week or so, you get so tired of fast food. This meal feels like "home". I've got to say that this last trip (January) wasn't as good to us as other trips. The other times were great, so it may have been an off night.

My kids love it there, so it's a must-do for us each trip. The first time we even ate there was at a MVMCP years ago...I can recall the restaurant being so festive that night. I am sure you will have a great time.

I agree, defintely a taste of home cooked food, after all day fried park food. You can't loose with Turkey and mashed potatoes!!

:thumbsup2

I disagree. This place used to be a lot better. They then turned it into family style and ruined it. Family style is basically buffet except without the one good thing about a buffet (variety). If you insist on family style, the food at 'ohana is much much better

I'll have to be one of those saying it's not all that. Like most people I *love* Thanksgiving type food. However that doesn't mean I like just any old turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing etc. This stuff was rather bland and just not all that. I suppose if you're really craving that type of food, go for it. Otherwise, just wait until Thanksgiving and have the really homemade stuff.

We loved Liberty Tree Tavern! I was a little worried about the food quality before we went because of things I have read on this board, but we were very pleasantly suprised! The food was wonderful. I loved the turkey and the sides that went with it. The food was very very good. It was a change from some of the other restaurants. The character interaction was the best! All of the characters came around twice and had very good interaction with my girls. We are planning on going back here on our next trip for sure! Have a wonderful trip!:goodvibes

We also love LTT! We're a family of 6 and all of us love the food here. Sure, the mac n cheese may taste like Stouffers, but that's just fine for DD6! I don't think the food is bland at all - I thought it was very flavorful. And it's not really like a buffet, because you don't have to get up and get your own food (DH hates buffets - he likes being served!) This has become one of our favorite character meals at Disney!

We enjoyed LTT very much. I loved the salad and the turkey and mashed potatoes was a nice change! You also get flank steak and roast pork, green beans, and stuffing. The dessert was apple cobbler with ice cream. The characters were great...came to our table twice during dinner. Enjoy!

My picky eater children didn't like it. It's Stouffers mac & cheese Thanksgiving food. They put spices my kids don't like in the corn/carrots.

I enjoyed the salad dressing and rolls. The meats were fine.

We prefer either CP or Tony's before parties.

Thanks guys, I think we will go ahead and make an ADR for LT and Tonys. We bought tickets for MVMCP for three nights out of our trip. So I think we will have to try both. We loved Liberty Tree for lunch when we were there last year and I am happy to hear that their dinner is just as good. Any Favorite foods at Tonys that you all could recomend?????

ur lunch was bad, I had to retun my entray 2 time my daughters was rotten and under cooked we have had so much better than that just use your best judgement.

I love the dinner at LTT! The food is good and the character interaction is fun. It is a must-do every trip.
