we are considering renting dvc points to make our next visit. i'm just wondering what is included with your stay. do they supply shampoo, soap, is there maid service? how is a dvc stay different than a disney booked stay?
tia for any information you may have.

No daily maid service
For stays under 8 days you get towel and trash service on day 4. For stays 8-11 days you get a full cleaning on day 4 and towel and trash service on day 8. For longer stays the cleaning cycle repeats.

You get a starter set of toiletries which are only replenished on towel and trash or full cleaning days-if you require more you can bring your own or pay for more (same thing with towels if you want clean ones every day but don't want to wash them yourself)

Renting points is considerably different in that you must be very certain of your trip (or buy trip insurance). The trip cost us usually due in full at booking and you cannot change dates/cancel for any reason as it is usually non refundable. However with Disney a room only reservation is refundable up until 5 days prior to checkin and you only lose the one night's deposit if you cancel less than 5 days prior. You can save significantly vs booking a deluxe room through Disney (unless getting an amazing discount) but if you don't feel strongly about staying in a deluxe resort and don't need a 1 or 2 bedroom villa it may be more cost effective to look at Disney's value/moderate resorts.

You can not take advantage of free dining with a DVC reservation. The rooms are different than a resort room. A studio will have one bed and one pull down sofa. A one bedroom will have the same sleeping situation with a kitchen and washer/dryer. A two bedroom obviously adds another bedroom to the one bedroom. Each resort offers a different configuration for sleeping and bathroom arrangements but I gave you the basics, so if you are interested in DVC look into those options at the different resorts. If you will need a dining plan added to your reservation you will need to add that 48 hours prior to your check in date and it must be paid in full at the time you add it.

To clarify DVC room arrangements, a one bedroom will have a private bedroom with a king-size bed plus a living room with pullout couch along with full kitchen & washer & dryer. A two bedroom is a one bedroom with connecting studio.

what is in a studio? i would imagine it would not have a washer and dryer. one can hope….. lol.

Not always. If it is a dedicated two bedroom it is a two bedroom with two beds in the second bedroom, not a one bedroom with a studio.
And again, not always (LOL). At BCV some of the dedicated 2BRs have a queen bed and a sleeper sofa in the 2nd bedroom. Fortunately the "Dedicated 2BRs with 2 Queen Beds" is a separate booking category so you will know when you book whether or not you will have two real beds in the 2nd bedroom.

No washer dryer in a studio. Queen bed + pull out sofa. Kitchenette with mini fridge, sink, microwave, coffee pot...

Ahhhh, so true. Can we make this any more confusing for the OP?!?!

Like DebbieB said, OKW has 2 queen beds in their studios.

One must remember that with any TS ownership you will not get daily housekeeping because you aren't staying in a hotel. You are staying in a condo/villa timeshare. And as others have said, you will have a small kitchenette in the studio, and anything 1 bdrm and larger will have a full kitchen and w/d. These will also have a nice master suite with a large compartmented bathroom.

Change days to nights and you have it. A seven night stay is eight days and you only get trash and towel service on day four. An eight night or more stay and you get full cleaning on day four and trash and towel service on day eight.

OP, if you need additional towels or supplies, you can pay for them.
