We are looking at lighting packages for our reception and as we all know Disney's are a bit pricey. So Im looking at outside vendors, my question is what exactly is included--lighting-wise in a Disney DJ package? I dont want to get 2 of the same thing and really just want to know what else I need to look for. All these tiny details are catching up with me :confused3 Im so lost! Any info you have is greatly appreciated, girls!

I agree. ??? I know they charge extra for pin spot lighting and I think up lighting as well. I'm not sure what else there is to include in that 'package?'

Bump? Anybody? Past Brides? Carrie?...Bueller?.....Bueller?......Bueller??

Everywhere I look it just says that DJs come with a "lighting package" can anyone tell me what this means and includes? PLEEEAAASSSEE!!?!?!?:confused3

Hey there!

What a "typical" DJ lighting package includes:
>a few (2-3) colored lights focused on the dance floor.
>lighting for sweetheart table, cake table, and DJ.
>I believe they also include in the package (if you want it) a standard, non-customized gobo, such as a mickey head on the dance floor.

>if you want multiple gobos (castle w/fireworks, etc, or a customized gobo), that is extra.

Hope this helps!

I am fairly sure from the info. that I have gathered, you really don't need a separate lighting package if you are using a Disney DJ, since pretty much all the lighting is included (and it should be for how much they charge!) If you do want a/some customized gobos, my wedding planner informed me that you can get them through Disney, but they are, or course, a lot! But also, that there are many companies you can find online who will make these for you very reasonably, and then you can just give them to your planner to hand over to the DJ to set up. I haven't had a chance to look into this yet, but plan on it.

Just got an email from my planner saying that at ADH for us to have the custom gobo it would cost $460 for them to set up the equipment to do this so scratch what I just said. Grrr.....:headache:
