Great lists everybody!

I am seriously considering getting an OL in August. Can someone tell me how the yearly delivery works? Meaning, if we start in August (15) and take another trip in January (16), do we have to pay the extra delivery fee or is that considered our 1 use before August '16?

The way I understand it is: they deliver the empty bin when you go in Aug...then you have 1 delivery in your year, so I think Jan would be your 1 delivery. Then if you were to go again before Aug 2016, you'd pay the extra, what is it?, $25. So you get 1 delivery of empty bin and then 1 additional delivery w/in the first year you belong.

This is a snippet from the e-mail OL sent me when I joined:
"Your yearly storage fee will be charged at the end of your first Visit when your Locker comes into our warehouse for the first time full of your stuff. We call that your Anniversary Date and that’s when your “use year” will start."

Kidanifan08, we only go once a year, so no owner's locker for us. But your list is very helpful for our week-long beach trips. EAch year, I write out a list of things to pack. Your list has given me some new ideas, Thanks!!!

We had an OL for a few years and just gave it up this past trip. The service is awesome but the only 2 carriers we travel are SW and Jet Blue (99% SW) and we can check up to 2 bags free (SW) so the cost just did not make sense anymore especially since we decided to take a year off next year and the fact that we do always rent a car so if we need something it is never a problem to get it. I LOVED opening our OL every trip with our Vodka, coffee filters. foil, baggies, shampoo, slipppers, bathrobe, rain ponchos ect..... Another reason for giving it up was I usually pack a bulk of that anyway out of habit.

About the service itself - they are great never a problem even when I called to cancel very professional and top notch
