What's in your 'park cooler'??

worm761, what an great list! Does anyone know if the mini-fridges will keep waters cold enough to use as sort of an ice pack for a cooler?
We have never been able to get the waters to freeze. Our last trip in August the waters stayed cool for about 4-5 hours in the coolers.

The mini fridge at Port Orleans Riverside did not freeze anything, even in the top. It did keep it cold though, and we threw the ice packs in there just to keep things cold. They weren't frozen though.

Everyone has pretty much mentioned the things we brought. Take a lot of water bottles, so you can stay hydrated. We went in Sept a few years ago and it was still in the 90's every day. This really is a lifesaver and saves a ton of money in the parks.

Oh I don't think anyone mentioned yet, we also take things like paper plates, plastic utensils, napkins, etc in our diaper bag, so that we have those when we want to sit down and eat. :)

I was wondering about this too. How does everyone keep there food in the cooler cold until lunch time if the mini fridges don't freeze things? TIA!

My plan for Disney is to take baggies and fill them with ice to work as cooler packs.

Water is your first staple. Other things for snacks peanut butter crackers, granola bars etc. rice krispy treats...etc

worm761, do you plan on just filling the baggies with ice from your hotels' ice machine?

We put the ice packs in the fridge at night, and it kept our waters cold until we needed them. I think it probably also depends on your cooler. I have a soft sided one from Thirty One, and the insulation in it is great. You could also fill the baggies with ice from your resort and I am sure that would help. We also kept our cooler under the stroller and out of the sun for the most part, so that probably attributed to it, too.

We stay offsite & have a real fridge :thumbsup2

But gallon ziplocks filled with hotel ice would work pretty well :)

Yes. I plan to double bag the ice with the ice from the resort ice machine. I am planning quart size bags so I can put them between things. I have no plans on bringing drinks. I will buy those as we need them.

We didn't have a problem with freezing our water at the Boardwalk. We also have the Thirty One cooler, and it is amazing. Last May, in the evening around 5 pm we still had frozen bottles of water in our cooler. It was over 90 degrees that day.

Another good idea would be get some of those squeeze yogurts that come in a tube and freeze them the night before. My daughter loves them frozen and what a great cold treat that would make on a hot Florida day!

PS- I'm totally doing this:mickeyjum

I'm definitely thankful that we have a stroller too! Bought one of those 'mommy hooks' for the trip and am hoping that will hold our cooler just fine-if not, under the stroller it goes :)
Thank you so much for all of your suggestions!!

Mommy Hooks? What are these? I might have to get one for our trip in two weeks so we have more room under the stroller. TIA

Am I doing something wrong?? My kiddos jump out to run and tackle down a character and every time my stroller tries to do a flip back if I have stuff hanging on the handlebars. ???

It could just be your stroller. We had a Peg Perego P3 and it was made so that the diaper bag hung on the back so we always had something hanging on it.

Maybe our fridge at POR just wasn't cold enough or something? I am sure the Boardwalk ones are nicer. :)

We can't hang anything off our stroller either, so we just stick everything underneath. We put a bunch of stuff in the diaper bag though, so maybe it's just too heavy? :confused3

I found that if you left the door to the fridge part on the dresser open then the fridge was colder and the freezer kept things frozen. We were at CSR. Trying CBR this go round.

Another reason to use double bagged ice, if it melts you can always get more at CS locations to replenish what you have lost.
