What's Happening with Innoventions?

Yeah, but I find this within the realm of plausibility. 2 million extra at Epcot sounds about right to me. I'm just wondering what happens to DHS...
I think it will be interesting to see if any of the craze dies down this year with frozen summer fun year 2 compared to year 1. I experienced it last year it definitely was a craze.

Yeah prior to this store opening it was more of a generic girl store then they went with the A&E boutique. I'm really surprised this hasn't come to WDW's DTD.

There's probably still time and space. They aren't done at Disney Springs yet.

Star Wars is years from coming to DHS if they start this year like they are supposed to we're talking 2020 opening.

Anything big, 2020 is reasonable. Small things, like a cantina, could happen before then. Plus, 2020 would be good timing after Froway and Pandora are finished and losing some interest. I would prefer SW ASAP though.

You do understand what they're "doing", correct?

A long line meet and greet and an overlay of what everyone described as the most boring boat ride in history (hard to state that with a straight face in the land of slow boats know as walt Disney world)...

For a 3 year old princess movie when it opens?

I mean...lets just let the euphoria die off just a little for arguments sake.

This is a minor project. It's big from an ideological perspective...

Based on what I've heard Star Wars would most likely open in Disneyland before WDW. Then you have the backlot of course that's supposed to be kiddie ride land.

That's completely opposite of what I've been reading. I have no crystal ball or special insight. I read that DLR SW is on hold, probably permanently. DHS is supposed to be the focus of SW with a lot of big things eventually added. Recent rumor is that an announcement would be made at D23.

I think you guys are missing a huge very "Future World" tie-in possibility that WDW could in-fact contractually explore- Gaurdians of the Galaxy. That IP isn't technically mentioned in the Marvel/Disney contract that the mouse has with Universal. Doing something with this would be huge right now, and it fits in great with the Future World concept.

Maybe I'm living under a rock, but I had to Google Guardians of the Galaxy to figure out what the heck it is...

"Brash space adventurer Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) finds himself the quarry of relentless bounty hunters after he steals an orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain. To evade Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with four disparate misfits: gun-toting Rocket Raccoon, treelike-humanoid Groot, enigmatic Gamora, and vengeance-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when he discovers the orb's true power and the cosmic threat it poses, Quill must rally his ragtag group to save the universe."

Aside from EPCOT having attractions with the words "Space" and "Universe" in their names, I don't see how this remotely ties into Future World.

But then again, I also didn't see how make-believe princesses with freezer-hands and talking snowmen fit into Norway, and we see how that turned out...

I haven't seen any changes in the rumor world. Toontown is supposed to be getting demolished for Star Wars. DCA gets a marvel coaster. DHS gets Star Wars and toy story attractions. D23 some type of announcement would be made. Where did you get your info?

Yes that movie isn't in the contract but I think a better idea that they can't use is the stark expo. I don't see any marvel in epcot any time soon or maybe ever.

Rumors on DIS. Probably mostly from the Star Wars Weekends thread, but they are just rumors. Nothing official or that has any special insider knowledge, that I know of.

Well that would probably be why. The Dis unfortunately does not have much when it comes to insiders.

I'd be shocked...

That's too much Cap ex without upsale potential...

Nope...don't see it

Just my opinion...but why "muddy the waters" and try to shoehorn marvels lesser properties 7 miles away from IOA?

They can sell merch to both locations - and do... And they are already buidling a new shop at downtown...more to follow.

There's just no angle where trying to get around that marvel contract makes sense to me.

But id be glad to hear some though? This marvel in wdw thing just won't die...

Well a new rumor came out today suggesting that universal and disney are in talks but many say that the site that said this is just looking for page visits. But insiders say that universal is looking to expand the marvel presence at IOA with a hulk redo coming and new attractions.
