Whats good for just one night?

Our Disney vacation starts on a Sunday but we plan to arrive in the area Saturday. What would be a nice but cheap (LOL) place for a family of 5 to rest their heads. We will be traveling in Sept. Thanks in advance for your opinions!

I would recommend Comfort Suites Main Gate East because it will sleep six. My sister and mom stayed here and really liked it. They also have free deluxe continental breakfast with a make your own waffle station. The pool area was nice too. Check hotelmartusa.com for a good rate on this place.

Buena Vista is $86.00 and will sleep six it is close to MK. We stayed there for a couple of nights before we went to Nick Hotel last fall and it was a nice place.

I will thank you all for the info as well, we need a one night hotel stay at the end of our trip 10/5 for family of 4. There are so many hotels to choose from, I just can't choose.

We are doing the same thing in September -- one night before we check into BCV -- but are going through Priceline. With the incredible number of hotels in the area, you can get a great deal. You can choose your level (1*, 2*, 3*, etc)

Last 2 times we did this we got a basic 2* (or it may have been a 2.5*) hotel (La Quinta and Comfort Inn) on Irlo Bronson Highway for $28 and $32 and it included free continental breakfast. (Others may have had even cheaper results)

I haven't bid yet for our Sept trip but we'll do the same thing. I tried to get WDW AP rate but all the $64 rates were booked up.

If you haven't used Priceline, just know you pay in advance, no cancellations and you don't get to choose your hotel...but for only about $30, it's worth it!

In 2005 I booked a room through priceline in Orlando and it did not work out so well. I was never able to reach the front desk by phone (tryed to call 2 weeks before we left at different times of day and night) and we never acually found the hotel it self. The directions were easy enough, it was somewhere around the mall. After an hour of searching and asking folks for directions and stopping at other hotels in the area no one could get us there . We did have to stay at another hotel so we lost our money with priceline . No deal for us, we will stick with AAA.

I have done Priceline many times mostly when it is just my DH and me. And I love priceline and I agree with you, most of the time it's worth it.

But I have the same problem (or blessing ) of the OP.........5 people. The one time we got two rooms on Priceline, we were put in two rooms not connecting. Major hassle since we were sharing some suitcases. I will never do that again. Plus, even a a $32 room (times two) now becomes $75 or more with the taxes and fees. I might as well just pay $10 more and get a suite for all of us to be together. Since it's just one night, I don't mind having one bathroom.
