My DS in law and DB in law are going to the world at the end of April and I just found out they haven't made any ADR's yet :scared1: (even though I told them to long ago!) What are the chances they will be able to get ts reservations--they are doing the dining plan. My DH says--well you can't tell those two anything!!

Well they could call disney dining and see what is available for their dates and pick from that, too bad they did not listen to you. They will have a very frustrating trip on the dining plan with no ADRs.

I agree with Bev.......just call and see what is left .....busy time too.....

We are going May 2-5th and I was shocked when I called 3 wks ago and got Cindy's Royal Table Dinner res at 7:00 and then my 6:40 (first choice) at Kona! Also got a 6:00 at Rainforest Cafe (which I'll prob cancel though..)

Your family may get some Disney Magic sprinkled upon them after all...

We are going April 12-18 (last minute trip) and just called on Thursday to book. To our amazement, we got most of what we wanted. Nothing available at CM, but we got a lunch at Le Cellier, as well as PTC, a couple of character meals and a few others. So as long as you can be flexible with the time you eat, you may be fine. And encourage them to try different restaurants, they may be pleasantly surprised.

There's a plenty large chance you'll get lots of yummy ADR's. People here are obsessed about the 180 day mark but it's not really necassary.

We changed our reservations a lot once we got on our trip last year and had no problem getting what we wanted. And it was free dining too!

You might be surprised !

We are going over Memorial Day weekend and I have just begun making all of our reservations. This was a last minute trip otherwise I am MUCH better prepared). I got all of my first Choices including Chef, Mickey, Ohana, Le Celier, 1900 Park Fare, Biergarten and Asherkus. The only one I couldn't get was CRT for breakfast but I certainly wasn't holding my breath this late in the game !

Thanks for the encouraging words--I hope they are able to make some plans and find great places to eat--I don't think they have done a lot of research and they certainly haven't asked for my help!

We called at the begininning of January for our April trip half of what we wanted was booked already!!
I even chacked late dining times, early dining times...booked solid!

You could still be fine! :) We're going at the end of the month and I was still booking things up until last Weds, a little over 3 weeks before our trip. Our times aren't perfect, but they're not crazy early or crazy late either, and we still got nearly all of the restaurants we wanted. Le Cellier was the only one we were unable to get. Call sooner than later, obviously, but don't give up hope :)
