Could you please explain. I'll make a list and please tell me yes or no.

paper plates, napkins, plastic ware, non bottled water, cream for coffee, sugar, sugar substitute, salt, pepper

Can you get jam/jelly, mustard, ketchup or margarine/butter, too?

Anything else, not on the list?

Depends on the food court. Deluxe quick service restaurants have things like peanut butter and cream cheese out but you pay for those at the value food courts. And then the different quick service park restaurants have different condiments.

Most places do not have paper plates although sometimes they will have the 'lids' to go on plates that you could use as a plate. Yes, every place has plastic ware and napkins. Not every place has cream - they usually have the "cream" in a dispenser next to the coffee so they aren't individual packets. And they will only have certain condiments if they serve the matching food item (like cream for coffee).

If you could list the food court you are interested in, you will get more specific responses.

At POP, you can get napkins, plastic ware, cream (but I don't remember seeing individual packages...I got mine every morning from the dispenser), sugar/sweetener, salt, pepper, jelly, ketchup, mustard. No plates available that I remember.

Peanut butter and cream cheese are not free; they are for sale (about 50 cents each I believe). I don't remember if butter was free or for sale as I don't usually use it.

on our last trip to POP in April there were little creamer cups. Not by the main beverage stations but the smaller one near the ice cream station. In the morning that area sells waffles, muffins, danish...and the counter near it has the condiments but not a " full beverage" station, but they do have the creamers, tea bags, lemon, sugar, syrup packets, margarine, jelly...stuff like that. I used the creamers and took a few extra in my hands to bring back to the room. I hope this helps you!!!!

You realize that these are utensils and condiments intended for food items that are purchased at the food court, right?

i agree.. those items are intended for paying customers. when people take advantage of things like that, businesses are forced to begin charging for those items. Taking a few napkins is one thing.. but counting on scavenging the food court is quite another. You wouldnt walk into a restaurant at home and just take condiments or whatever without first buying something... or would you? Not intending to flame anyone. but really. think about that!

Exactly. Some of the fast food places in our local mall have gone to keeping everything behind the counter. You have to ask for ketchup, napkins and salt. I'm guessing it is because people were taking a ton and using them to augment their supplies at home.

OP--if you need napkins, spoon, salt, pepper, and the like, and are not planning on purchasing anything in the food court, you need to bring your own. Food courts are not supply shops. It is beyond low class and tacky to raid them for supplies.

Grabbing a utensil or something small once or twice is one thing (like at work I will sometimes go to the cafeteria and grab a fork or spoon if I forgot to buy more and ran out of my supply at my desk) but if your thinking about this and making a list before you go I would say your probably planning to get way more stuff then you should. Those supplies aren't paid for by your hotel room stay they are paid for by the stuff bought at the food court so unless your buying you shouldn't really get them. That is just going to force them to raise prices on everyone else.

a jar of peanut butter or jelly is really not expensive and will keep without a fridge so why would you take theirs?

I just want to be as prepared as I can be. If I have to look for an item inside or the outside of the food court area is part of the planning. If it's free I would assume it's outside of the paying area, not inside.

I will be alone with my mom in a wheelchair who is 90 and with Alzheimer's and it's just easier for me to know ahead of time what's what with everything.

The ketchup, napkins and such are in the area after you pay for your food. AS far as those items being free, they are free for people who purchase food at the food court. They are not free for people to just come in, grab handfuls of them, and leave. Still not too clear on what your intent is.

Moderator please close this thread.

I didn't post to take advantage of anything and I just don't need this drama.

I think you're over-reacting a tad here.
While some PP have pointed out the fact that the stuff is for "legit" uses, since in this thread there's only been one more reply prior to the quote above (and you're explaining your needs/intent), and since most people (foolishly) do not even read previous replies....I think you need to take that into account.

I can personal very well understand how it can help you to know what the deal is - I too have taken my 85 yo nearly demented mother in a wheelchair to WDW....I hope you have a wonderful time and that the magic touches the both of you! :)

edit to add: in re-reading the thread, I suspect it may have been your word choices in the thread title "what's free" that regretably set in the minds of some - some sort of less than honorably intent.

That is it exactly. And even after the update it wasn't too clear. The repeated references to the items as "free" being the main reason. Which is why I stated where the items are located and then asked what the OP's intent was.

I'm sorry, but if you can't be bothered to clarify your posts you shouldn't get offended when people continue to misinterpret what you have posted. We don't know each other or what our moral characters are. We can only go by what we all post. Why not just post "I'm looking to find out where they keep the napkins, but I don't intend on stocking my room with them".
