raw baby carrots .50

I had a Lean Cuisine Butternut Squash Ravioli meal $2.50 (my favorite one!) and shared the corn and carrots. ;)

Trader Joes Canned Corn  $.69

Dessert Strawberries and Whip cream $1.25 approx.

Tomorrow Chicken Salad Sandwiches for lunch !

well my crockpot and I are not getting along...it has burnt 2 pieces of meat this week....so it's a yo yo night. Probably cheapo pizza....blech!!

We had 3 pieces of Salmon (2.00) on the grill, Assorted frozen veggies (1.50), white rice (.50) and blueberries for dessert (1.50).

Super yummy!!!

Tomorrow we are planning on: shepard's pie using all leftovers from previous nights this week! Plus some Cole's garlic bread (1.00). And probably some type of fruit for dessert.

I can't believe how much money we are saving every night from not eating out. And we used to eat out A LOT.

I made chicken and dumplings:

Chicken ($3.70)
dumplings "mix" (~$0.50)
Broth and spices ($1)
Steamed Broccoli ($0.33)
drinks ($0.25)

TOTAL: $5.78 (4 servings, so $1.45 a serving :) )

We had shepard's pie. One was made with ground turkey breast for the meat eaters in our family and then another was made with soy chicken (from dixiediner.com). No gravy.

Tell me about it! I was under the weather Wednesday night (I have very bad sinus/allergy issues this time of year) so instead of cooking, DH insisted that I stay in bed and he would get him and DD something. He ordered a $20 pizza!:scared1: That $20 probably would pay for my meals for the past 4 days! (and there were no leftovers!)

Tonight is spaghetti - meat - 2.33
sauce - in freezer already but I think it was $1
garlic bread - $1
noodles - 0.50

I know they have salad on sale this week so I may stop and get a bag of Caesar for $2 before I come home from work.

We're having Fajitas tonight

Chicken
Peppers (we got these red and yellows on sale)
onions
Tortillas
Cheese
sour cream
salsa

about 8.00 for 4 of us plus leftovers!

Tonight is chicken enchiladas with cream sauce.
It's not budget, and rather heavy in the fat/calories department, so we don't make it very often.... but boy is it yummy! Sometimes you need a treat after a LONG work-week, right? ;)

Tonight is Jazzy frozen pizza, lettuce salad, and fruit salad..

I got a frozen freschetta pizza on sale w/ coupon for $2.00. I will jazz it up with the leftover veggies and cheese from earlier this week. I got a free head of lettuce w/ coupon this week and will add veggies (.50) and dressings (.50). We have left over bananas, apples, strawberries, and cantelope. I made a fruit salad with a simple dressing (.50). Total for take-out at home $3.50 for a family of 4. I also picked up package of skinny cow ice cream saucers on sale for $1.00 w/ my coupon. So tonights snack is ow so cheap compared to Dairy Queen! Gotta love Friday Night Meals;)!

I'm not feeling great today, and I have no idea when the teen is coming home from theater rehearsal soooo...

Tuna sandwiches
Carrot sticks, cucumber sticks, fruit salad

Sadly, with tuna now $1.30 a can (I make two for a family of four) and the high cost of fresh fruits/veggies...it's not as budget a meal as it used to be! :confused3

We are having fresh Rockfish my DH just pulled out of the Chesapeake Bay! So that part is definately budget- but of course I had to buy some fresh lemons and herbs and a good bottle of wine, so all together- no not really a budget meal.
