Our friend from Nashville is in town this weekend so we are going out to eat with her today.

WFD at your house?

Lindsay - Have you heard anything? Can you contact him and ask if we could have it back just for a day or two? I'm sure we could get them all copied in one day.

No I haven't. I REALLY want the old thread back. I will PM someone today.

I read this thread a lot, but only post every now and then, and have been wondering what happened to the old thread!

Hope it isn't lost forever.:confused3

Dinner here will probably be some kind of chicken, not sure yet. DH will be working during the game time, but all the kids will be home, as DS works this morning and gets off by 5. We aren't much interested in the game, but oh those commercials!

Good luck with retreiving the old info, and have a good day all!

I think tonight we will have roast beef sandwiches leftover from the roast we had last night. I put some Morrocan spices on it WOW it was tasty.

I did take inventory of my freezer items and found I don't need and pork or chiciken for quite a while. Outside of fresh veggie none were found in the freezer. :confused3

I keep seeing these posts for buffalo chicken dip. Anyone think it would be ok without the chicken? I'm a veggie so chicken's not an option but I think my bunch would still like it. Any thoughts??
Also someone posted a note about a tofu dish. Can you post the recipe?
Finally - someone asked for my Florida Crunch recipe and I'll get that and post it in just a little while!

Hi,

I think you could make the dip without chicken. What about using tofu for the chicken? You could press it, then shred it. I'd use extra firm tofu for this.

Which tofu dish are you thinking of? I think I am the only one on this thread that makes tofu. If you remember a little about what was in it, I'll post it for you.

First, I want to say to all of you that are having a hard time right now, that I am thinking of you. Lots of sadness on here the past couple of days....

Here are some photos from last night. I made my fondue.

You can see in the background that we also had salads, and I made meat for the guys. Rare filet mignon and some of theleftover pork from last night. Here is the meat:

Come on down!!;)

Oh, My, Gosh!!! I am writing to you from a cocoon of new snow!!! We woke up this morning to find that our back door had blown open last night, and my living room floor was covered in 2 inches of snow. It came down hard during the night and hasn't stopped yet! We got the kids ready for church and left. Halfway through Sunday School, we were told to get our kids and go home. The storm is just getting worse and worse. We drove home and got stuck trying to turn into our driveway. Luckily, Alan and a neighbor managed to dig us out enough to get us partway into our driveway. At last look, we have accumulated 12 new inches of snow, on top of what was there already!

I AM SO DONE WITH WINTER!!! I WANT SPRING, NOW!

Dinner tonight will be pulled pork sandwiches with coleslaw! I'm thinking that if the storm keeps up, DH and I won't go to our respective game parties. We'll stay home and do our separate thing. Alan downstairs, and me cozied up in bed with my cookie dough and chick flicks!

I have no idea what is for dinner - I'm still at church/work and have to buy stuff for my party tomorrow night this afternoon. DH asked for frozen appetizer stuff for dinner so I'll see what I can find. I have to cook all the stuff for my party so I won't be cooking anything else unless it's just popped in the oven.

Hey All! Well, as with alot of you, I am having football food! :cool1:

I changed my plans a bit and we are having:

chili dip (the one with cream cheese, salsa, chili and cheese) My boys love this.
chips and onion dip
sausage pepper and onion heros (it is in the crock pot now)
pepperoni and mozzeralla bread and pizza sauce
ice cream log for dessert

It is just the 3 of us so I think this is alot of food but LOVE it all!

While I was sauteeing the peppers and onions, I kept adding stuff and have to say they came out great! I added a touch of ketchup (just a squirt around the pan), white wine, balsamic vinegar and all the other stuff. Can you say yummy???

Easy to say, but having to live through it is more difficult, ya know?

I am here for you if you need me...

This macaroni salad I used:
elbows
fresh dill
diced onion
thawed frozen peas
Hidden Valley Ranch dressing
cooked shrimp
salt & pepper

Mrs. Disney Ron

Looks so good! Reminds me of the mac salad my mom and aunts made when we were kids. They always added shrimp.

I want a margarita!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Got to ask Jeff, he is the drink maker in our family. He has been experimenting with mojitos and martinis, last night was an apple martini but I passed. Not tonight though :thumbsup2

Nancy, never ever pass up an appletini. ;)

That really rots. Like I have said before, I really want some snow that Andrew could play in at least once this year but you guys are getting hit too hard.

Have a great evening all!

GO BIG BLUE!!!

Wendie, I am praying for things to get easier for you. We really care about you and want you back soon! Let me know if there is anything I can do.

This afternoon after church we were starving & in a hurry so I improvised. I coated a pork tenderloin with a packet of Hidden Valley Ranch (the dry mix) and some freshly ground black pepper then tossed it into my Pampered Chef roaster. Cooked at 375 til it was done to temp (about 35 min? I think), and served with mashed potatoes, gravy & corn. It was a hit!

As for Super Bowl, we're going to a party. Taking some homemade chili & Mexican layer dip. Yummy!

Thanks. I know that, and some days it's all that keeps me going. I hope you know that the feeling is mutual. You can call on me any time, day or night!

Seriously, if you want this snow, come and get it!!! I'll try to get some pictures up, but frankly, I'm so tired of looking at it, I could just cry!

I so hear you. Tonight we are supposed to get a wintery mix(snow sleet rain and freezing rain) We warm up to 40 then get more snow this week.

Glynis the snow in the living room happened to us. I almost lost my little white dog in all the snow we had that year. I kept running up to every lump of white thinking it was my dog, he was deaf so I couldn't call him. I finally found him napping in the snow.:rolleyes1

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: I'm laughing because that's what happened to my teacup poodle this morning! Actually, I let her out in the backyard to "do her business", and she literally disappeared into the snow drifts. I was laughing so hard, I couldn't find her, and had to have my daughter dig through the snow to find her. Poor little thing was shivering, and looking at me with such a sad look. I felt like such a bad "mommy."

Go ahead and laugh. When I was younger in our storm of "67 my brother and I were playing in the snow. I went inside for a minute and looked outside and no brother :confused3 just his hat on the top of the snow.My Mom had me go out for the hat. Low and behold, I pulled on the hat and my brother was under it in the snow. :rotfl2:
