What's everyone making for the Super Bowl?

My lunch for work on Monday, my Superbowl commercial score card, and a taco bar for the two people who will be in my house...namely DH and me. I think my lunch will come from the taco bar.

Looks like a lot of folks are doing taco bars! Can't go wrong with Mexican food! :thumbsup2 I love seeing what everyone is planning to make- keep the ideas coming!

Just for fun if I could throw a Super Bowl party using Disney food, here's what would be on my menu:

Turkey legs, Corn dogs from DL, Disney popcorn popcorn::, cream cheese filled pretzels, Mickey ice cream bars :earseek:, Butterfinger cupcakes from Starring Rolls, and wash it all down with Gray Goose slushies from the French pavillion!! :drinking1

DH has requested chicken & dumplings (not the typical Super Bowl fare, but it's his fav so why not!?) I will also be serving buffalo wings, fruit with dip, and a veggie tray with dip as well. My guests are bringing desserts, drinks, and corn bread along with chips and queso. At the end of the night, we all split up the leftovers so everyone has some for lunch the next day.

some of my favorites are crock pot chicken chili, ham bombs, or sloppy joe's. like to have the appetizers too, chips and dip, taco dip, cheese and crackers

DH and I don't like sports at all, but we do watch the Superbowl together. I'll be making him a few things, pigs in a blanket and taco dip, then for both of us, some pizza bagel bites and chips and salsa.

One year I made a mexican spread which made it easier. Taco bar, mexican rice, dip with chips, and bought a few small cakes for dessert. It was easy and enjoyed the day with everyone.

27th year doing tacos. Family tradition always
Adding chips and dip
Cheese fries with ranch dip
White Velvet Cake with Crean Cheese Icing
Fresh fruit

I like having a taco salad bar. You can use one of those 3 station crockpot devices. Ground beef, nacho cheese, beans. Then shredded cheese, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, onion, sour cream, salsa all in separate bowls. A pot of rice. Chips. That's what we were going to do but DH was able to get tickets to the game (huge Bronco fans here!) so couldn't pass up that opportunity!
Yum! I love your idea. Your post reminded me that I have about three crockpots buried in my basement that I never use. Time to dig them out. :scratchin

We are going to our friends. They are doing pulled pork and cheesy potatoes. I am bringing pickle dip, celery and crackers to dip in it, chicken salad, and probably something sweet. There will be about 6 other families there - not sure what they are all bringing.

Oh, and plenty of beer :)

Buffalo Cauliflower bites with paleo ranch dip.....:thumbsup2

I do not watch any kind of organized sports whatsoever, neither does my husband. Can I just have a food eating party with no sports? Is that allowed? I like food. Lol

I don't like football, but I throw a super bowl party every year. Some people watch the game in the tv room. Some people hang out in the living room or the kitchen. It's fun for everyone!

As for our party, I'm doing crock pot chili and a nacho bar, and our guests usually bring something too. We end up with far too much food for the 10-15 guests we end up with.

Little bit sad to not be home (working a contract job 700 miles away) this year. I always make wings--Buffalo wings, Korean wings, and some kind (varies) that can be baked rather than fried. They are AWESOME (probably the best thing I cook).

But, I had a patient invite me to their party. I'm going to pay for a plate at the nursing home where I work, and watch it with her (they are having dinner in the tv room if they want, and nachos. I'm going to go talk to the kitchen today to make sure there will a softer alternative to nachos provided as well--the most vocal residents want them, but some people can't handle that crunchy of a texture.

Maybe they could make quesadillas? Simple ones, with soft flour tortillas and cheese inside. They could still be dipped in salsa, if desired. For some reason, my DD12 and I always seem to poke the roof of our mouths with regular tortilla chips, so we call ourselves "chip challenged" (and I buy the round chips when possible).

That would be a good night for a dinner and movie not many people will be there.

We are smack in the middle of Panther country and part of a huge groupie of Panther fans so a big party here. We pre-ordered a big supply of wings and we have themed paper products and some decorations and themed containers. Everyone will bring foods and drinks. So far I know we are having crack chicken dip, quesadillas, pigs in the blankets, taco dip, Panther Cup Cakes, rotel dip, and sliders of some type. Everyone just brings whatever and it all works out. We have done parties where we have just chill and the fixins and just a sub bar with sides.

Not super bowl related, but I've been feeding landscape workers with healthy appetites all week. Potato, ham and bean soup with garlic bread, pasta with andouille sausage marinara sauce and garlic cheese bread, Mexican rice casserole (ground beef, rice, cheese, salsa, seasonings, beans) with tortilla chips. They are so happy.
