My lunch for work on Monday, my Superbowl commercial score card, and a taco bar for the two people who will be in my house...namely DH and me. I think my lunch will come from the taco bar.
Yum! I love your idea. Your post reminded me that I have about three crockpots buried in my basement that I never use. Time to dig them out.I like having a taco salad bar. You can use one of those 3 station crockpot devices. Ground beef, nacho cheese, beans. Then shredded cheese, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, onion, sour cream, salsa all in separate bowls. A pot of rice. Chips. That's what we were going to do but DH was able to get tickets to the game (huge Bronco fans here!) so couldn't pass up that opportunity!
I do not watch any kind of organized sports whatsoever, neither does my husband. Can I just have a food eating party with no sports? Is that allowed? I like food. Lol
I had joked after watching the Peyton/Nationwide commercial if he ever got to the super bowl again it would be Chicken Parm sandwiches...so our menu is planned.
Little bit sad to not be home (working a contract job 700 miles away) this year. I always make wings--Buffalo wings, Korean wings, and some kind (varies) that can be baked rather than fried. They are AWESOME (probably the best thing I cook).
But, I had a patient invite me to their party. I'm going to pay for a plate at the nursing home where I work, and watch it with her (they are having dinner in the tv room if they want, and nachos. I'm going to go talk to the kitchen today to make sure there will a softer alternative to nachos provided as well--the most vocal residents want them, but some people can't handle that crunchy of a texture.
