Take pound cake, slice it, put a layer down in the pan, put cool whip all over the top of that layer, and strawberries, then put another layer down (you're putting this into cake pan) cover that layer with Cool Whip, then put strawberries and blueberries on top to look like a flag. When you're putting down the layers of pound cake you may have to lay out several slices to get a layer, depending on the size of the cake.

leaving early Fri morn for the White Mtns in NH
staying up there until late Tues

Going to Disney for the night tomorrow to visit with some family friends and my mom and little sis. Then Sunday we are probably going to have a good southern Shrimp broil!! Plus maybe go out on the Bay and watch/set off fireworks.

We're heading off to Galveston Beach Sat Morning till Monday, while there we will celebrate my b-day a week early (I have duty on mine the following week-end).

I am SUPPOSED to be going to Washington D.C. with my best friend to see Armin van Buuren deejay on Saturday night...then flying back home on Sunday to recover. He is a flight attendant and we are flying standby. They get to go all sorts of exciting places for free, and I am getting to go for a fraction of a normal ticket, since the seats are unsold.

As far as the 4th, we're having people over to grill out Sunday night...DH is in charge of all that...we are both off work Monday, and I start a new job orientation on Tuesday!

My family and I are going to Squaw Valley, Lake Tahoe. We are going to take a cable car which is basically a gondola up to their high camp with an elevation of 8500 ft.
You get a 360 degree view of lake tahoe from that elevation, with the Sierras in the background. We plan to go swimming in their huge pool with island/rock formations. After that we will be going ice skating in an outdoor rink with a view of Lake Tahoe . Then in the evening watch the fireworks with a unique view (from above). These are our plans for the 3rd.

On the 4th we will be staying in Sacramento and view the fireworks from the American River . Yeah!!!

We are very excited since we normally view fireworks locally at the Embarcadero in San Francisco. We've been doing this since I was a child and I welcome the change to a new venue.

HAPPY 4th of JULY AMERICA and everyone here have a good time and remember to be safe.
