Probably second only to Christmas in terms of crowds.

Thats spring break... well, anywhere from Mid-March to Mid-April... I'd avoid it like the plague... and maybe go 1st week of May instead!

I would avoid all of April, especially Easter. Unless you want to fight crowds so bad you can't get a stroller through.

The first week of April is probably the absolute height of the spring break crowds at Disneyland. I know, I have been there that week, along with all of humanity and their brother! It isn't just "crowded", it is crowded beyond all reason. Just getting from point A to point B is impossible.

I have been going at all times of the year for the last 15 years--but we tend to mostly go summer, spring break, and Holiday time. We went last year for the the Halloween Party in October and the crowd level was very doable. The worst crowds we have ever encountered have been:

Spring Break (first week of April)
and
Thanksgiving week (Sun-Wed prior to Thanksgiving)

Thanksgiving week was worse than spring break by far, but spring break was still very bad.

Like everyone has been saying, it is very busy. If you could go the beginning of March or the end of April, it would be lighter crowds, but with Easter March 31, the first week of April is going to be CROWDED.

We were there the week after Easter last year and (ironically) the weekend was ok, but by Monday morning, it was CRAZY!!!
We won't go back during Spring Break again...

We won't go back during Spring Break again...

This is why we are going in February. We did 3 years during Spring Break - 2008, 2009, 2010 - and after the last trip, DH said NEVER AGAIN!

It seems like our 2008 trip was okay, 2009 trip was okay, but 2010 was crazy busy.

Hoping that our February trip will be calmer. Shorter park hours, refurbs, and no fireworks are fine by us!
