Going for the first time this October, just curious to you veterans of HHN, what is the coolest theme / monster / exhibit whatever, you've seen at one of the horror mazes at HHN? ( I mean something original you don't get at the typical local haunted attraction with the typical jason mask and chain saw BS.) Something that made you go whoooo, that's really cool that I've never seen before.

This is my favorite time of year at Universal and I also got my wife loving it too.

The coolest thing about it is just the whole overall experience. The houses are top notch, the chainsaw drill team never dissappoints, and the Bill and Ted Show is not to be missed!!!

Last year we ended up taking the backstage tour and that was the coolest part for both of us. You got to go into three of the houses during the day and it really made it cooler when you went back through them during the event. The Dead Silence house had all kinds of neat effects like the dolls heads moving as you walked by.

All the houses have their own smells which really bring things to life. Cooked flesh, rotting plants, crap (in past years, and trust me you will never forget that smell), etc.

You'll have a great time trust me, but some advice if you haven't already gotten any,

1. Get the express pass
2. Try to go on a Sun. or Thurs.
3. Get there early and do the inside houses first.
4. Make time for the Bill and Ted Show.
5. Look around in the houses cause there are some really cool things going on.
6. Do the backstage tour if possible, it really is worth the money.

Well that's all I have for now. If you have any other questions fell free to ask.

This year will be my 5th consecutive HHN! My favorite house from last year was Psychoscareapy: Home For The Holidays. I did that house more than any other. There was just something about carnage at Christmas time that I really enjoyed. The Dead Silence house was excellent too!

The only thing I would recommend above what the other poster mentioned would be Stay & Scream. If you have an AP or will already be in the park before it closes, you can stay in a holding area and get a head start on the houses. Last year, I was able to do three houses before the lines got long and since I didn't use Express for those houses, I could go back through with the Express.

We would definitely agree with these comments as well as the suggestion of Metro about the Stay and Scream.

Unfortunately word is the behind the scenes tour has been cancelled (see this link) :sad1:

That sounds interesting, what is the theme behind the silent thing you were talking about?

For some reason our first one always stands out,ICU which I think was 11,mainly because we didn't know what to expect & at that time the first nights were fairly quiet so it was easy to go back & do Houses again. Run was good, the Mummy, the 3D one first time round was excellent.Since then the one that really stands out was the Prison....Hell...? They had a character in the electric chair that used to "fry". We always get our faces painted & really enjoy ourselves. What I would say though is that it has definately got busier & I don't totally agree with them serving alcohol during it,now I'm not a prude but there is always some drunk idiot spoiling the House for the others behind!
SD:thumbsup2
