Whats better?

Okay all ready dreaming of next year, I am thinking of either before Chistmas - 12/17 - 12/23 or after Christmas for New Years again, 12/30 - 1/6? I want to go for New Years again because the fireworks wwere awsome, but the crowds in the parks were heavy, what are they like right before Chrsitmas? thanks

We were there this year from 12/17 - 12/23. The first part of the week the crowds were manageable. We were able to do everything that we wanted to do. The last couple of days, 21, 22, seemed to be the start of the big crowds. We could definetly tell the difference.

We were there Dec. 19 - 23rd, '04 and the crowds were manageable. This past year we went Dec. 9th-14th, and the crowds were better, so we're leaning toward earlier dates, maybe beginning the 10th this year. I really wanted to try NYEve because it's a special birthday coming up for me, but the trip/crowd reports have scared me away from that time.

The crowds will be significantly less for 12/17 - 12/23 than they will for the week between Christmas and New Year's.

Aren't you the one who wanted unlimited Fast Pass because she went during peak period? Crowds can't have bothered you too much if you considering that same time again, LOL! Well actually, the crowds will quite likely thin out quite a bit starting on January 1. The rest of that time frame should be very nice - you may not even need FP at all, LOL.
