What's Better?

The food is consistently better at Crystal Palace for every meal. By that I mean mean it's edible. Chef Mickey's is popular, but I think it's quite gross. If you're determined to eat there for the experience, I recommend breakfast. It's a lot harder to ruin than dinner.

You would think breakfast would be fine, but at Chef Mickey's we had a
looo0000ng wait for medicrity!!!:scared1:...about a 50 minute wait, and once seated, the characters were very rushed:rolleyes1.... Dinner was better, but Crystal Palace is all together better IMHO.

(BTW...one time at CMs I actually asked to be moved to a different room because it got very claustrophobic, as a family of 12 rushed our two top to get with the character at our table:confused:)

We are trying Cape May breakfast this year, because I miss my Minnie!!!!:lovestruc

We ate at CM for breakfast on Friday and it was really good. We had a short wait and good character time. CM is definitely a lot better for breakfast than dinner. But, the restaurant was a bit warmer than I like for breakfast. CM is terrible for dinner, so I would definitely pick CP for dinner. CP is a great breakfast for getting in the park before rope drop.

My favorite character breakfasts are Ohana, Cape May, and Akershus.

Both b-fast I think are really good. But we usually do b-fast at CM & a lunch or dinner at CP. We really like the salmon & carved meat at CP.

We have always had good interaction with the characters but we're generally a "Hey, good to see you Mickey" take a quick picture & let him move on since DS is a young teen & doesn't do the autograph books. Same with Pooh at CP.

We always hope to be seated by a family with really young kids, we love seeing their faces when the characters visit. Gee, I'm going to make a good grandma someday

I highly recommend Crystal Palace for breakfast - best breakfast buffet in the park. We've gone too many times to count! Every time, we have superb service. And the variety on the buffet is totally superior. Gotta get the puffed french toast... breakfast lasagna... made-to-order omelets... and try the raspberry crumb cake (looks simple, but tastes fabulous)...

We haven't done CM for breakfast, but we have done Cape May, Hollywood & Vine, and Tusker House - we enjoyed all those meals, but we find CP is absolutely in a league of its own!
