My mother.

We used to have such a beautiful schedule. I work 8:30 to 5 she worked 3 to 11:30.

She has been home on medical leave for the last 4 months, two of them spent laying on the living room floor because her hip hurt. One minute she would be in excrutiating pain, the next she would be running up and down the stairs doing stuff. She finally had surgery for a cyst in her back and can go back to light duty in a month. but I swear she is going to drive me to drink before then. I have laundry spread all over the family room, she has to have EVERY light on in the house, her idea of adding veges to her diet is to drink tomato juice, she eats and buys way to much junk and she makes enough food to feed five people, eats hardly any of it then gets pissy with me when I don't eat all of it. Hello, my butt is big enough, do you really think I need to eat 3 pork chops and a half a dozen side dishes for dinner? For example, yesterday she made a meatloaf for dinner, big enough to feed 6 for her and I and my cousin who is staying with us while he does renovations in our area. I didn't eat because I got home late and she took out what looked to be about 8 chicken breasts for dinner tonight. I can't wait to see what she takes out for tomorrow night.

I needed that.

My econ professor. She gave us a computer-based take-home test two weeks ago and told us to use our notes and things for it. She grades it and then takes points off because we plagarized our notes!

I went to discuss my test with her during her office hours one day and you know what she told me? That my writing was too good so it HAD to have been copied/paraphrased. I write for the college newspaper and I had a paper published in a freshman "Best of Writing" book last semester. So uh, YES, I can write well! She wouldn't hear any of it.

So I was and still am pretty mad about it. I got a 60 on a test that I'm going to have to do a ton of extra work to make up for.

That's griveance worthy. You have talked to the teacher, you should go to the Dept. Chair next. Just explain that the you alraedy talked to the professor about saying to the notes and that she took off points and accused you of plagerizing (serious offense that should go challenged).

My second annoyance is, "um; like; you know; and youknow'umsayin?" I listen to talk radio all day and am amazed by most callers' (and some hosts, not to mention our own Governor's) inability to complete a sentence without using one of the above mentioned phrases. This is such a handicap in our society and it is annoying the heck out of me.

My mother after every sentence says "You know what I mean?" IT DRIVES ME UP THE WALL!!! And whenever I point it out, she gets extremely mad and says I'm trying to start something. So now whenever she says that, I say "I know what you mean" After years of driving me nuts it's finally starting to get through to her and she's not doing it as much anymore.

1. Still WAITING for SW to open up dates past 8/3!

2. DD's boyfriend is being an arrogant A** and ruining spring break, treating her like dirt...and I have to butt out....trying really HARD....HELP!

3. Re-runs. I see no reason why current POPULAR shows need to have them already. Very disappointing to finally take a moment ot sit, veg out and watch a weekly series, only to have it be an old episode.

4. Seems like 1/2 the things I need ffrom the grocery store are always "gone" or sold out when I get there....aggrivating.
