What's All the Fuss About? (Fast Food Related)

:confused3 What does it taste like and is it any different than the other weird, semi-sweet mayo based sauces they have? We got Honey Roasted BBQ and Chick-Fil-A sauce and they were both just really similar; the colour was even pretty much the same. Also, I would NOT like any kind of sweet sauce on fries.
I love CFA. It's good for fast food and it's consistent. I would compare it to In-N-out, Five Guys, Chipotle. There is nothing exceptional about it, except if you do like it you know what to expect when you go there. A lot of chains can be hit or miss or when it comes to quality control.
I can see been underwhelmed due to the overhyping.

I like their breakfast which is pretty much all I eat from there now. You can get any of the breakfast sandwiches or burritos with chicken instead of bacon or sausage which I really like. They also have a breakfast bowl with scrambled eggs, chicken, hash browns, cheese, and salsa which isn't huge and feels "somewhat" healthy lol.

I do think their original sandwich is solid with just the buttered bun and pickle. I usually take off one side of the bun because I don't need that much bread. The kale salad side is good and if you really want to have something decadent the Mac and cheese feels like homemade. It always has crusty cooked cheese on part of the top and creamy noodles.

Well, grilled was probably a mistake. It's the fried chicken with pickle that is the classic. Also, it's not really the BEST chicken sandwich, but it's the service that brings me there over other competitors.
I agree with that. CFA and In-N-out are so efficient. I have door dashed CFA probably 50 times and my order has never been wrong.

I just checked the Canadian menu again. No breakfast, no mac and cheese, no kale salad. :(

The mac and cheese is really good and so is the lemonade. I'm not sure why things get overhyped, but it's a solid choice for fast food where I live. They also never screw up my order which is another big plus. To be honest not screwing up my order is probably the number one reason I order from there.

My choice is usually driven by value and what I can eat with one hand while driving and nothing falling into my lap. So chick fil a usually doesnt meet the requirements.

Raising Cane's is good too but only the ones in Nebraska, elsewhere tastes off
We have several in our state. It's hit or miss. I love the sauce though I wish they sold that by the bottle. They've also inspired me to make my own Texas toast.

I've never eaten there before and I have 0 interest in trying it. People give me grief for saying that but I'm not stopping them from going. I'll go elsewhere for fast food chicken (I did recently try Raising Cane's for the first time as they opened a location near me and that food was awful. Chicken didn't have a single flake of seasoning and tasted rubber-y.)
You are literally the only person I have ever heard say that about Raising Cane's! I lived in New Orleans for years, where it was practically royalty. They finally opened one here in Orlando not too long after I moved back, and the line was better than 2 hours long. Exactly the same incredible flavor, and everyone I know here became an instant fan.

I mean, if people want to wait 2 hours for bland, unseasoned chicken then more power to them. I'm glad I tried it once so I can avoid it going forward. Probably some of the worst fast food chicken I've ever had.

I also posted about Cane's chicken being flavorless. So that's 2 of us, at least. 😆

Our area just got these restaurants several years back. Kids like it. It’s grown on me. Not big into chicken sandwiches, so the first time I ate there I had one, and also wondered what the big deal was. Same with the waffle fries. Don’t like their Chick Fil A sauce, etc. Made me feel sick. Then I branched out a bit. If I go I get the chicken wrap with apple vinaigrette dressing and a side kale salad. Always really good. I also like the chicken strips, they’re always really fresh. Recently I just wanted a little something so I got the Greek Yogurt Parfait and it was also really good, will get again. The lemonade is good and they have sugar free, too. I agree the shakes are very good, as well. It does always seem really clean, efficient, and pleasant, unlike some of the other fast food places around us more recently. They are closed on Sundays.

We tried In n Out last year on vacation and were underwhelmed with that. Burger was ok but bun was stale, and fries were like McD’s (I prefer a thicker fry). The help was friendly and it did seem clean, although there were some sketchy characters coming in and helping themselves to drinks from outside, and nobody said anything to them. I’d say one and done.

We have a Chik-Fil-A just 1 1/2 miles from our house, and have only eaten there once or twice in the last several years, and when we did, we were attracted by some specialty shake. Their chicken didn't seem anything special.

I love Chick-fil-a’s diet lemonade! I’ll drive thru just for that. I’m not a fried chicken person, so I eat the market salad. Which is delish. I’m also a fan of their seasonal shakes. The peach one this summer was yummmmmmmy!!
