What's all the fuss about Crush...?

I'm shocked at how many people here don't like Crush. The only thing I don't like about it is the long queues. Maybe I should also say how bad it is in the hope that I scare more people away from it and reduce the queues a bit!

I normally come off it giggling like a schoolgirl (assuming they giggle a lot - I have to admit I don't know any schoolgirls and haven't done since I was a schoolboy!) as it is just such a crazy ride - it is nothing like anything else I can explain.

I've tried in my head to compare it to various other rides (e.g. the teacups but on rails, WDW's Space Mountain with spinning etc.), but none of them do it justice. There was a pinball themed ride at Alton Towers to my recollection that was kind of like it, except that was outside. And there's a small similarity to the Tyrolean Tubs, but you won't know what I'm on about unless you've been to Great Yarmouth and even if you have, you probably still might not.

Try it once - you've got nothing to lose. If you don't like it, it'll all be over in about 90 seconds!

We had planned on giving this a go for the first time this year.....we've always managed to have time for it........think we may be not taking DS1 on it.....sounds like at 6 it may be a little too much for him!! :worried:

Jenny-could you possibly send me a copy of your planner?? :thumbsup2

It's a ride we've never done either. Not convinced I want to try it though. Maybe DW can take DD on it :rotfl2:

So surprised by how many people are saying they don't like Crush! I LOVE it - one of my favourite rides anywhere! I wouldn't say I'm a coaster nut - I love BTMRR but hate SM2 for example. Not a big fan of being chucked about or going upside down really (though I do love RNR as it's so smooth). But Crush is quite simply awesome! I don't even really think of it as a rollercoaster as it's so different. I'm trying to persuade my friend who I'm going to DLP with in June to go on with me (as she is a mega wuss and is scared of everything) and I will be really sad if I have to miss out on it if I can't persuade her.

Abbey and I queued for 55 mins to go on this the other day. She loves it and I quite liked it too. But it did go fast and was very spinny. If you check out youtube and look at the Sonic Spinball at Alton towers it will give you an idea. It's the same type of seats and the drops are similar. So imagine that, but in the dark.

Lewis would hate it, but he doesn't like BTM so probably not the best comparison to use :rotfl2:

I like this tactic, yeah, i agree, Crush is rubbish ;)
Seriously, I love Crush but I'm a thrill seeker - my mum thought she'd like it but I warned her off as I know she'd hate it, and i'm always quite surprised to see young kids in the queue. You know your own DD and what she likes etc, so I think you're making the right call steering clear this time around. :faint:
