This is one that my grandmother takes to church dinners all the time and it is always a hit.
Cherry Delight
1 round angel food cake
2 (8 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese
4 c. whipping cream
2 2/3 c. powdered sugar
2 (20 oz.) cans cherry pie filling
Mix cream cheese, whipping cream, and powdered sugar. Cut angel food cake into bite size pieces. Put in bottom of 9 x 13 inch pan. Spread cream cheese mixture over top of angel food cake. Top with cherry pie filling.
Personally - peach pie or cobbler with fresh cream is one of my favorites.
Easy Ice Cream Cake
line bottom of pan with ice cream sandwiches
spread hot fudge on top
spread cool whip on top of hot fudge (let it thaw a bit first)
sprinkle with crushed oreo cookies
