I will be celebrating my birthday on December 4th (first trip to DL to celebrate woohoo). My Boyfriend would like to take me somewhere for a nice Dinner. What are your suggestions?? Is Blue Bayou a nice place for a Birthday Dinner?? I would love to hear your reccomendations of places either in the Parks or at DTD!!

BB is always good. We did that for DB B-day last fall. Be sure to let them know its your birthday - they'll give you a special treat. :bday:

I've heard Napa Rose at the GCH is wonderful. . . Can't afford to eat there msyelf, but maybe someday. :cloud9:

Blue Bayou is very nice for the atmosphere and we have always enjoyed our meals there. I prefer lunch so I can get the monte cristo although its so rich we always have to share (which they now charge you to do). One of my favorite places is Hook's Pointe at the Disneyland Hotel. Very nice atmosphere and wonderful seafood (they have a few other things too). Its a bit pricey but you can have a cocktail as opposed to BB which being inside DL doesn't serve those.

I also enjoy Naples and Tortilla Joes in Downtown Disney.

And I agree, Napa Rose sounds wonderful, maybe I'll get to eat there someday too!

All of these would be happy to bring you a little something to celebrate your birthday I am sure.

For my mom's birthday a few years ago my parents and I happened to be staying in a hotel near Disneyland (weren't there for DL but to visit people and places in SoCal) and went to the Jazz Kitchen for dinner. It was almost completely child-free and somewhat elegant for Disney. The food was amazing and the bananas foster (which they do the final cooking at the table so you can witness the flambe part) was as good as the bananas foster I had in New Orleans. Best part of all, no reservations needed and it wasn't crowded!

Napa Rose, Napa Rose, Napa Rose - it's wonderful, the view of Grizzly Peak is great, and the food is unbelievable!! If it's just a special dinner for the two of you, it would be my top pick.

BB is great for atmosphere, but IMO the prices for the quality of the food you get are inflated. Desserts are the best part of most meals, both in my experience and in comments that I've read. Hey! For a truly memorable birthday at DL, how about...

Dinner at Napa Rose, with dessert at the Blue Bayou? Now THAT would be the best of both worlds!! :thumbsup2
